That’s a pretty tough one. I think either Isaiah and Charles or Gary and David. I don’t think Stockton and Moses would complement each other as well as you might think. Moses Malone was a rebounding ace, and a big strong player who liked to play with his back to the basket. John is great passer overall, and would feed M Malone in the post, but he was so good on the break at feeding a fast M Malone. He would thus thrive best on the break, but M Malone wasn’t as good of a runner as Robinson, Charles and K Malone. They would be good together based on talent alone, but not as good of a pair as the other 3. Jason Kidd and Malone is a stronger, slower version of the Utah duo back in the 90s. As good as Jason Kidd is, I think Stock is a better PLAYER and a better PARTNER for malone.

Now out of the other two, I think that A would be a better duo by themselves but C would be a better duo if you put them with a full team. By themselves they would beat Payton and Robinson 2 on 2. As great at Payton’s defense is, I doubt he could terminate Thomas. BUT. C’s defense would help whichever team they’re on in winning a championship out of the group. I don’t feel like writing a legit essay about this (as interesting as it is) but

    Personally I would pick C.

Isiah & Barkley would have been a problem. Hell, Isiah and any other allstar big man would have been a problem.

If T-Mac and Grant Hill weren’t both plagued by injuries, they could’ve been scary together

Isiah with any HoF big man would be a problem

But the Magic didn’t have the $ to sign all 3 ….. TMac signed after Ducan didn’t leave SA.

I’d go with Payton and Robinson. Both great players at two vital positions and also both dominant defenders as well as very good offensive players.

Personally I like the Payton, Robinson combo.  You can have an argument for all four being the best.
