RickyRubio9ParticipantLuis Alrivera from UTEP. lol Jk…I made that up.
I got to go with Coach K, guy has the most experience and handled many Stars before their NBA Days. Plus International Coaching Experience.0 - Posted on: Wed, 09/02/2009 - 4:57pm #209363
jeff416ParticipantI would go with Coach K

who.am.i.nbadraftdotnetParticipantI’m going say NOT Coach K for two reasons… he’s not used to dealing with ppl who are not handpicked, which is something that happens in the NBA.
Everyone he coached at Duke- he recruited. All the guys on the olympic team- besides the fact that they are some of the best America has to offer- were probably all approved by coach K before they were let on the squad…
What’s going to happen when they aren’t bright students who were qualified enough to go to Duke? What’s going to happen when they aren’t the best players in America? I don’t think any of us really knows.
I’d also like to point out the limited success of duke players in the nba…

JNixonParticipantI honestly wanted Jay Wright to go to the 76ers when he was a candidate for thejob…

who.am.i.nbadraftdotnetParticipantwhy isn’t AI 2 the coach, that’s the real question. he’d be the first player-coach in a while, but i think he could do it.

jeff416ParticipantQ you have alot of people giving you negatives I try to give you points even if I disagree with you just to get you into positive numbers lol.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 09/02/2009 - 5:41pm #209385

JNixonParticipantI do too sometimes….Its annoying to me that his points are so low. Way more ppl say stupid stuff all the time and have positive points
0 - Posted on: Wed, 09/02/2009 - 5:46pm #209386

MagikKnickParticipantwe should start a mission to get Q back in the positives

JoeWolf1Pitino had a failed experiment with Boston in the 1990’s, and has an overall record of 192-220. I had a pretty big year in 88′ but he had Patrick Ewing, Mark Jackson, and a really solid roster. He may be able to get the job done with an established team, but his poor performance in Boston would make me hesitant to hire him on to rebuild a young team and honestly, I think Coach K would be a better candidate, because he has the Olympic team experience and he is so highly respected in the basketball and coaching world NBA players would take him very seriously.

td8118ParticipantObviously Coach K, even though Duke players suck in the NBA, I’d argue hes the best basketball coach alive right now….Also, I think Calipari would be a great NBA coach and is better suited for NBA…could say the same thing about Jay Wright (originally from Hofstra, BOO YA)

quincey hodgesid have to say maybe coach k…from what i hear from some 2 of my friends that play in the leauge is that players dont fully respect a college coach who has no nba experience and they will tune them out if they start loseing games

llperezCalipari didn’t do too well in the NBA with the Nets.
Anyone else surprised to see Paul Westphal get another head coaching job in the NBA right after leading Pepperdine to like a .500 record over like 6 years there?
