If all those 3 guys were available now, where do you think they would be taken?

    Interesting:

I say Davis still goes #1

    Charlotte takes Shabbazz

I’d take Drummond before both of those bigs, so the other 2 probably go somewhere between 6-12

Maybe Noel to GS and Zeller to Detroit?

If they were coming straight out of high school? Shabazz would probably be in the top 5. I could see Charlotte or Washington or even Cleveland taking him. Noel (who doesn’t surprise me at all) would probably fall to the Pistons or something to pair with Monroe, and Zeller would be a good fit in Milwaukee or Phoenix.

I think Noel would go to Charlotte at number 2. Shabazz Muhammad would go to Washington at number 3, and I think Zeller would go to Portland at 6.

It would make no sense to take Noel over Drummond at this point. My guess is he goes 8 to Detroit. Shabazz does go 2.  Zeller would likely find a home in Cleveland (I love his fit with V and Tris).

    1. Davis – NO

    2. Cha – Shabazz

    3. Was – MKG

    6. Port – Drummond

    7. GS – Robinson

    8. Tor – Beal

    9. Det – Noel

    10. NO – Lillard

@Lazarus the same reason why the Bobcats are taking Robinson over Drummond. Charlotte wanted Anthony Davis bad. Real Bad. Supposedly Noel is being compared to Anthony Davis. Why wouldn’t they draft him? Shabazz would be a better fit for the Bobcats but if they supposedly aren’t going after a scorer(Barnes) in this draft and going after Robinson, i’m sure they would do the same thing if Noel was in this one.

At the end of the day, Mike has the last word. It’s Michael Jordan. Charles Barkely even said how guys were afraid to tell Mike he is doing a bad job. And if Rich Cho is the one drafting, his draft history is bad as well.

Call me crazy but I think it would be

    1. N.O – Shabazz

    2. CHA – Davis

Would make for a much deeper draft.

Bazz will go number 2 zeller will fall out the top 5 due to his t-rex arms Noel will go outside the top 10 due to the fact he’s raw, not a great rebounder with his athleticism, lack of discipline on defense(he tries to block everything), and he is rail thin

@ Wreckless if Jordan didn’t draft Adam Morrison then cool. But but i’m talking about Jordan and Kwame Brown. But the bobcats have a history of drafting players that don’t pan out. Emeka Okafor was rookie of the year but he isn’t even with the Bobcats. Felton was a solid pick. But Adam Morrison, Sean May, Brandan Wright are the others i’m thinking of. It’s too early to tell with Kemba and Bismack. Gerlad Henderson has been solid though

Plus if you want to get technical. Since high schoolers can’t be in the draft, Nerlens Noel would have been on the championship winning team in Kentucky. Him and Davis probably would have been a defensive powerhouse unlike any other the college game has seen. He is already hyped as a top 3 pick overall on this sites mock and many others. I just think personally that he would still go as high as two because of all that in consideration. Not from a a best fit scenario. Otherwise I would have said Muhammad goes to the Bobcats because they need a scorer. They have Bismack but if you have a chance at getting the next best devensive player other than Davis why wouldn’t you?

Very hard to say where they would go because they haven’t played a game in college(other than Cody) and we all know how that effects it.

Cody would probably go top 5 off of potential. Bazz would probably fall around 10 and Noel would probably go around the same or maybe earlier because of what Anthony Davis did.  The thing about Bazz is he’s 6’5 and he’s not a sg, he’s strictly a sf rght now. He cant go right and he is a streaky shooter. His handles are also suspect. His stock could fall or rise this year depending on if he fixes those things

Bazz would almost be a lock for #2. I think Zeller would go to 7 for sure, maybe top 5 and Noel would go anywhere from 6-12.

Bazz has the same attitude and game of MKG with a better shot and he is a better all around scorer. MKG is bigger but I would think that Bazz has more potential and would go top 3 for sure. We have to wait and see what he does in college for sure but right now I would take him over Beal, Barnes or MKG and I like all of those prospects.

The difference is Bazz is 6’5 in shoes and he isn’t a SG. After a year in college it’s possible he will be a top 2 pick because i’m sure he will have better handles,be able to go right and a more consistant jumper and by doing that he will be able to play the SG position.  I think it would be possible that he could still go two out of H.S but imo i don’t think he would. I have to agree with something that spacesomething said as far as a comparison and that was Jerry Stackhouse. Not sure how many of you all watched him in H.S but his game was a lot like Bazz. Wasn’t the best ball handler nor jump shooter but had the quickest first step i had ever seen in H.S and was very athletic. Loved to attack the rim with force and a competitor

How are you overrated when you basically destroy every player that is put in front of you?  Dropped MKG off for 32 in a head to head match up as a Jr, at the time St Patrick was number 1 if i’m not mistaken. Dropped a record number of buckets on the world team. Killed everyone in the Mcdonalds game practice (those scrimmages are much more compettitive than the actual game). I can understand thinking he doesn’t have great potential but as far as rating him right now he has backed it up every single time. He’s talented and he has a motor

what ever team that would take shabazz in the top 5 the entire staff should be fired but he would probably drafted because his immense hype and he will be a big bust, cody on the other hand woulda went to portland at 6 and was already established in college, noel wouldnt go top 10 maybe late lottery

Zeller will be the #1 overall pick in the 2014 draft.. He’s enrolled on a 3-year plan with the Kelley school of business and is determined to graduate just like his brothers.. IU is going to have 3-4 lottery picks in 2014, watch out.

Has there ever been a bust when a guy has skill and motor?. As far as Zeller, how many times have we heard players talking about staying. Zeller was actually on the fence about coming out THIS YEAR. His older brothered stayed because he was never a first round lock. That same business plan will be there during the summer so i wouldn’t hold my breath as far as Zeller staying for 3 years. His oldest brother had no choice because he wasn’t much of a NBA prospect

Since when is Shabazz Muhammad not a SG.  If not a 2, then what position is he??  I dont see how you can can conclude that he will be a bust.  His play in HS was spectacular, and he hasn’t played a min of college ball yet…So then what is it? other than you randomly picking a player not to like and hoping he fails to entertain yourself.

Jerry Stackhouse was a good player and and worthy of the 3rd overall pick. He scored over 20 points a game for 5 seasons. He finished 2nd in the league in scoring in 2001 behind only Allen Iverson. He is top 100 all time in scoring so despite his injuries and whatever other problems he had as a player he was stellar. He was never really a complete player but I think Bazz has the edge in defense, passing and other team oriented skills.

He’s never been a shooting guard. Always been a SF/PF because of his lack of handles and consistant jumper. He is transitioning to Sg though and i don’t doubt he will do it. I think he could get by as a SF as well if his reach is as long as i think it is

Ok, but don’t you think it’s possible that he was playing those other positions because he is so talented and superior physically than his opponents.  Although it’s not his natural position a high school team might put a player in at forward or center: because he good enough to be the best player on the floor at any position and they have more depth in their backcourt than they do in the frontcourt.  For example; Matt Bouldin from Gonzaga is from Denver like me so I have seen him play alot.  A true point guard, but in HS he got significant minutes at PF/C because he was one of the biggest and strongest players on the team and could get it done there.  This allowed the team to have all of their best talent out on the floor all at once.  Versatility doesn’t equal being unable to play your own position.

He didn’t play Sg because he couldn’t play that position. You can watch him and see that just by watching one game. No right hand, Inconsistant jumper, Shakey handles other than going straight forward. You can also tell by what a player does when he gets in trouble. When someone who is near his size and is a actual shooting guard with good defense guards him he goes right to the block to post and over power them because he doesn’t have the jumper or the handles to take them from outside.  You can see the potential he has to eventually become a Sg but its not there yet. It’s liek a PF who is trying to transition into a SF (Brandon Ashley comes to mind)

so are you telling me his motor is that great that he could be the 2nd pick? is his motor higher then some of the top prospects in this draft NO you cant say that because you cant determin a mans motor unless hes lamb or jones, Is he a better player then any of the prospects in the lottery aside from drummond who is very raw no he is not, to me he is the very overrated a 6’5 small foward with no handle, a decent athlete, avg shooter and just overpowered the competiton because hes stronger then every player in hs, he wouldnt even be a top 10 prospect in the 2011 highschool class he just benifted from his hs class being so weak

Stanford hoops you’ve never seen bazz play I can tell, bazz has excellent handles and dribble moves reminiscent of James harden, his jumpshot is silk but still needs improvement this guy can ball. Period

MKG is in the disscussion because his motor and talent and Bazz is more talented, skilled than MKG. And yea you can say who has a greater motor just by watching a player play which is why people say MKG motor is high. Thomas Robinson has a high motor and some skill but there are other bigs who are more skilled. You add some skill plus high motor plus very good athlete and you can go pretty high in the draft because those guys don’t end up buts. Those are the guys who are going to at least be average players because they are going to out work or work just as hard at the very least as anyone one you put in front of them

I’ve seen at the very least 10 of bazz games. His handles nor J is close to excellent. You obviously havent seen him play

Lets see what scouts who have seen him more than me say then shall we Scout.com Player Evaluation: STRENGTHS Attack Mode Impact Player Post Play AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT 3-Point Range Ballhandling ESPN Weaknesses: Muhammad must work to be a more consistent three point shooter and work on his one on one moves especially going to his right. He needs to get better with his right hand (all left-handed), especially at the next level, but he’s a winner and has that desire to be the best. At times he will gamble for steals on defense and pick up cheap fouls.

    Yahoo/CBSsports

Why he’s not No. 1: Perimeter shooting is inconsistent, and is not as effective going to his right. Ball-handling also needs some work, as he aspires to be a shooting guard.

What kind of pro: Will have to improve dexterity and outside jumper, but he has a long NBA career ahead of him.

And of course Shabazz on his own weakness from CBS sports interview

"I will keep working out and working on my weaknesses for all of July," he said, then specifying why. "I want to transfer to the ‘2’ position. I was a 3 last year, but I want to be bringing the ball up [the court] more. I want to be a guard

I think Anthony Davis would still go number and the bobs would take Shabazz.  If Shabazz was in the this draft, he would be the best scorer, hands down, and thats what the Bobs desperately need.  Zeller would go before T-Rob and Drummond.  Noel wouldn’t fall past the top 14.
