Let’s say I’m Philadelphia and I have serious interest in dealing for Devin Booker…

    What does it take?

As a fan I would only want to give up Draft picks(Our #1 in 2016 and 2017 are untouchable)

Let’s say my starting offer would be Dario Saric, the Laker’s Pick and the right to swap picks with the Kings via the Stauskas trade…

What do you Think, Saric to pair with Len, and 2 potential Top 5 picks via LA and Sacramento…

Just throwing some ideas out there…

What do you guys think gets a deal done between Philly and Phoenix?

If I’m Phoenix Devin Booker is nye on untouchable for now.. I’d be much more inclined to be moving the other backcourt players they have then him, you’d have to be offering a king’s ransom to get him off me. I just don’t think theres many people who are going to be better than him after Ingram and Simmons are off the board- I think in 2 years time he’s going to be averaging 20+. Why take a chance on a guy like Jamal Murray or Buddy Hield when the best case scenario for them is to be what Devin Booker already has proven he’s going to be?

That is a good offer.  Saric and the Lakers pick, very tempting for the Suns, as long as Saric is 100% in the NBA next season.

As a Phoenix fan, I’d be very reluctant to give up Booker but if the offer was 3rd/4th pick plus Saric then I would have to seriously consider it.

If Philly did put the pick into play I’d think they would look to try and create a bidding war to see what offers they could shake out.

Booker is a talented young player that would fit perfectly on the Sixers, but he isn’t more talented than Saric.

Now Saric hasn’t played in the league yet so there is risk there, but then you are adding in another potential top 5 pick for him?

    No thanks.

What exactly has Saric done that makes him better than any starting caliber player in the league? I really don’t see how a guy who hasn’t played a minute in the NBA can be definitively determined to be more talented than a 19 year old kid who did things that have only been done at that age by HOFers.

What if the Lakers pick is in play this year(4th pick)

You guys dont think Saric, the 4th Pick and an extra 1st Round Pick in 2017 is enough to land Booker

Saric can be their PF next to Len and Buddy could actually be a bit better than Booker albeit a little older, Buddy is already a far better defender…

The Suns will also still have a very high pick to Draft BPA (Murray, Bender and Brown)

in addition to their own pick that will be very high. We are actually giving them too much because he fills a need and we have a jam in the frontcourt.

I think that that is way too much to give up for Booker, and is there any reason to think that he is available anyway?

You can’t trade for players that aren’t on the market, and he isn’t good enough to warrant some sort of offer that they couldn’t refuse.

Plus, are we really going to stab Saric in the back after building a relationship with him and convincing him to come over?

As I said, I’d seriously consider the offer meaning there would be a very good chance I’d accept it. I think a good GM plays his cards close to his chest. Also a lot would depend where Phoenix end up in the draft themselves.

imo.. How many shooting guards are there in the league with that type of shooting touch at 20…  He’s shown flashes of becoming Klay Thompson lite. If you have an opportunity at an All Star possible shooting guard, you keep him no matter what, shooting guards are becoming the hardest position to fill in today’s NBA.

The fact there are strong arguments both ways on this deal suggests to me it’s pretty reasonable. Plus one from me

That trade doesn’t happen unless Philly is also willing to absorb the Chandler contract and/or the Bledsoe contract. No one Suns deal Booker, who is a baby still, for two unknowns without something else.
