sheltwon3ParticipantI think if Derrick Williams measures out to be 6’9" in shoes, it could really boost his stock with the way he is playing. His stock seems to be iffy based on possibly being shorter and therefore in between positions.
How tall would Sullinger need to be compared to his listed that would get people to overlook his lack of athleticism. If he turns out to be 6’9" and some change would that be enough to get comparisons to Kevin Love.
How far will Kemba Walker’s stock fall if he measures under 5’11" and will it rise if he is taller than 6 foot. Could he be another Jameer Nelson.

JoeWolf1I think Sullinger will measure at about 6’8”, but for him I think it won’t be as big of a deal because you can tell almost immediately how long his wingspan is. I wouldn’t be shocked if he had a 7’2” or even a little longer wingspan.

White ChocolateParticipantMy predictions for players measured in shoes and if it will help or hurt their stock:
Kyrie Irving: 6-1, I really don’t think it would matter if he is 6-1 or 6-2 he will still go in the top three.
Derrick Williams: 6-8, his stock would remain unchanged because everybody already thinks that he is 6-8.
Harrison Barnes: 6-8, his stock would remain unchanged because everybody already thinks that he is 6-8.
Jared Sullinger: 6-10, for some reason he seems taller than 6-8/6-9 whenever I see him play if he meaured this tall it will help his stock a lot.
Enes Kanter: 6-10, I see him being one inch shorter than everybody says he is it wouldn’t change his stock that much.
Terrence Jones: 6-8, his stock would remain unchanged because everybody already thinks that he is 6-8.
Jan Vesley: 6-10, I don’t think that he is really 6-11 it wouldn’t really change his stock very much.
Perry Jones: 6-10, he seems like that to me and I think it might be better for him so he could play small forward more and not power forward just because of his height.
Jimmer Fredette: 6-3, I think if he measured 6-3 it would help his stock quite a bit because he would be taller than everybody thinks.
Kemba Walker: 6-0, like you said I could see him being a Jameer Nelson type of player, but I don’t see him falling past the Knicks at #17.
Alec Burks: 6-6, wouldn’t change his stock at all people think he is 6-6 anyway.
Marcus Morris: 6-9, it would be a slight drop in his stock, but not that much.
Markieff Morris: 6-10, if he measured one inch taller than his twin brother Marcus it would be very nice for him and it would help his stock.
Jonas Valaciunas: 6-10, wouldn’t really affect his stock very much if any so it wouldn’t really matter
Donatas Motiejunas: 7-0, seems like it would help him to be a legit seven footer, it would help his stock.

JoeWolf1If Marcus measured 6’9” it wouldn’t hurt his stock because people think he is that tall.
No one thinks Marcus is 6’10”, it’s well known that Markeiff is an inch taller and around 10 lbs heavier. I think they are more like 6’9” abd 6’10” in shoes, barefoot I think they’re more like 6’8” and 6’9”

doubledribblerParticipantI hate barefoot measurements. When it’s all said and done, guys play basketball in their shoes. I’m not going to be too concerned unless I see a guy wearing some Tom Cruise shoes that boost his height about 4 or 5 inches.

joecheck88ParticipantIMO, Kanter has the most to lose with bad measurements. If he measures like 6 foot 10 in shoes he will be good, 6 foot 8 might be bad. And his wingspan will be crucial too.

Im Your FatherParticipantHaha, I’ve never understood the "They play basketball in shoes argument." Do football players get measured in cleats? What if hockey players were measured as their height in skates?

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI never liked the barefoot measurement either. However, in terms of official measurements, it does put everyone on a level playing field. Guys can show up to the combine in shoes that give them 1.5+ extra inches. Last year, Cole Aldrich showed up to the combine in shoes that gave him an extra 2.25 inches. That’s close to high heel territory.

sammybuckeye13ParticipantFor some reason i think Barnes is 6-7.

ChrischiParticipantI don’t like the barefoot measurement either, but it is necessary. If they wouldn’t measure that players could just wear shoes which make them taller for the measurement. Also, players get different height boosts from their shoes. Just look at the Miami gang.
Wade – w/o shoes 6′ 3.75" – with shoes 6′ 4.75" – difference 1
LBJ – w/o shoes 6′ 7.25" – with shoes 6’8 – difference 0.75
Bosh – w/o shoes 6′ 10.25" – with shoes 6′ 11.5" – difference 1.25
Get what I mean?

lalailaParticipantthe guys i think will be different than excpected
Kanter looks smaller than 6’11
Kemba looks 6’1 for me unlike under 6foot like others think
Kyrie 6’3 190+ he really looks similar to Rose in Memphis
Henson looks taller than 6’10 and bigger than 200lbs
Vesely shorter 6’11 also MUCH lighter than 240
Jonas looks legit 7′ if not a little taller..

The lake show2The height doesn’t matter its the wingspan that matters more than height
