kobyzParticipantJayson Tatum, play exactly like, shooting, mid range game, footwork, etc… What a steal!!!

high floorParticipantEven as a top 3 selection. But let’s just allow the guy to be "Jayson Tatum" w/out the Kobe pressure.

whiteflashParticipantTheir games aren’t really that much alike. Not sure why you started this thread.

HobbyOGParticipantTatum reminds me of Allan Houston, Paul Pierce, Danny Granger (In thier prime) I don’t see Kobe at all..

whiteflashParticipantNever put 2 and 2 together, but can definitely see some Allan Houston in his game. Make no mistake, a 6’10" Allan Houston is gonna be a handful.

eyefortalentParticipantHe couldn’t create off the dribble like Tatum and you’re going to mention Houston and Paul Pierce in the same breath? Very weak

You clearly never watched Allan Houston. I’ll just leave this here.0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/11/2018 - 3:05am #1116633

HobbyOGParticipantYou must be like 14 and didn’t see Houston in his prime…he started off creating off the dribble…your comment is very weak…

TRC1991ParticipantSurprise, another Kobyz comparison post that ends in a pile of negatives

WetalkinboutpracticeParticipantHe’s a Paul George type. More aggressive attacking offensively. While not being the defender George is/was, he still has so much room to grow.

BKGingerSnapParticipantTatum is the best rookie wing since Durant. His combination of shooting, finishing and ball handling as a 6’9" rookie is startling. He is in the perfect system to get better. His future is extremely bright. Kobe’s greatness is defined by work ethic, focus on greatness, relentlessness, and competitveness. Tatum first has to work like Kobe to be compared to Kobe.

Ahkasi ClayParticipantNobody wants to be like kobe.
Media made, but smart fans know he was overrated.

KingGeorgeParticipantClosest thing I’ve seen recently to Kobe would be Brandon Roy in his prime. He had ALL of the tools.
Virtually no weaknesses offensively. Could score at all three levels, was a great passer, rebounded well for his position and had excellent handle and footwork. He also had great instincts and basketball IQ.
He wasn’t quite the athlete or defender Kobe was, but he was extremely skilled and polished. I strongly feel he’s be a top 10 player in this league today had his knees held up.

ksmith9ParticipantAnd I thought…That’s very insightful and true. KD is a taller less athletic and less ego KB. Better shooter and he utilizies his abilities great….but in terms of pure athletism KB no competition. I was pretty amused to see it had nothing to do with KD.
As far a Tatum. You got to give the guy some time before comparisons. He is a good player who is carving out a niche. I wont compare him to anyone yet other than he is playing really well.

kobyzParticipantSo who do you take first overall the less athletic, taller, less ego KB(Tatum) or the smaller and stronger version MJ(Mitchell)???

kobyzParticipantLOL getting neg like that, mention it first, now all NBA world is talking on that comparison, it’s all over the media
