Afactor4ParticipantAssuming the season ended today, the draft lottery would look like this:
1. Bucks
2. Sixers
3. Magic
4,5,6,7 Celtics, Lakers, Kings, Jazz
8. Cleveland
9. New Orleans
What if your 5-9 team gets the first overall pick? Trust me… its possible.
What would you want your team to do? Who do you want them to take? Perhaps Trade picks?

max23ParticipantWould love to see Wiggins with the celtics.I believe the best fit for him would be alongside a great unselfish pg,where he wouldnt be asked to carry a team.Of all the teams you mentionned, none better than Rondo.

KHAM83ParticipantNot a Kings fan, but I think they’ll be the one team shopping the #1 pick if they received it. This team is desperate for the playoffs and need young vets, not young prospects. We like Isaiah Thomas, but it looks like they want to upgrade, so pg in addition to pf are the positions they’ll be looking to upgrade with talented vets.

fito91ParticipantI’d love to see the Bucks draft Andrew Wiggins
I think Giannis and Wiggins would be incredible together. We’d have two lock-down defenders on the perimeter to go along with Sanders and Henson in the post. They would be an entertaining combo offensively and on the fast-break as well.

PowerofXParticipantJabari to the Jazz is a no brainer if we get the #1 pick. He’s just what we need; a go-to scorer who’d compliment Favors, Hayward & Burke perfectly. Though he’s improved a lot this season Burks becomes the 6th man to point guard the 2nd team offense. Jabari would also become their most marketable player obviously since he’s Mormon. If we lose Gordon in free agency Burks would stay in the starting 5.
Also if they’re not completely sold on Kanter I’d like to see them at least consider Embiid, imagine a healthy Embiid in the frontcourt with Favors.

omphalosParticipantEmbiid for the Celtics, hands-down. We are extremely undersized up front and desperately need some rim protection. Plus, he would gel nicely with Rondo/Sullinger going forward.

WolfRobParticipantlol you really think the kings would trade the #1 pick if they got it?!?! Yeah right. There are multiple potential franchise changing talents. If they get that 1st pick they would have the luxury of taking anyone they want.
Personally if I was Sac, I’d take either Wiggins or Embiid… It’s a tough choice, both fit nicely. I think Wiggins would be perfect out on the wing, then they could ship Gay out of there. Wiggins could start right now, but wouldn’t need a lot of shots right off the bat, so he could contribute and develop. Hopefully one day reaching his full potential, making the kings a perennial playoff contender.
Jojo is in the same boat of potential franchise changers, I’d just have to get confirmation that his back isnt going to be a long term problem. He’d make me nervouse taking him 1st overrall, but the potential is undeniable.

druneave3ParticipantBulls have no chance so this is what I would like to see as an NBA fan.
Bucks – Dante Exum. Him and Giannis would have crazy potential together. Brandon Knight is playing very well of late and should be a nice piece as well.
Orlando – Marcus Smart. I think he would be the best fit given the young talent they already have. Oladipo and Smart would make a dynamic backcourt, as well as a really strong defensive one.
Philly – Noah Vonleh and Doug McDermott. I am in the minority (especially this site) as a Julius Randle "hater" and prefer Vonleh. I see Vonleh as a Chris Bosh-type player and think he would pair well with Noel. Also could make a nice two-man game MCW. McDermott just might work on the weak side of that PnR, and can do a whole lot more. Find yourself a true off-guard and could have a special starting 5 along with Wroten and offensive weapon McDermott of the bench.
Also, Lakers or Boston end up with Wiggins/Parker/Embiid and they become great. Afterall, this is the NBA.
For my Bullies…. First Round picks – Elfrid Payton and Montrezl Harrell or Clint Capela. 2nd Round – Andre Dawkins Wouldn’t be mad if Aaron Gordon fell but I don’t see that happening. Also like Cleanthony Early.

theprophetParticipantif i’m the lakers and had the first pick i’m taking parker. however, if another team that picked second or third were big on parker and would part with that pick and another young asset, i couldn’t ignore the offer. for example, if say philadelphia had the third pick, i would trade the first in jabari parker for the third in wiggins or embiid paired up with a thad young or something. maybe orlando if they were in love with parker and had the same scenario would give up tobias harris with their pick to move up. i would absolutely love it if somehow the lakers and the celtics went first and third, and the lakers picked up jeff green and the third pick for the first. or the jazz for favors and the third. oh but that’s just dreaming. best case scenario would be one of those trades happened, and jabari parker fell in their laps anyways. yeah right!
on a side note, i wouldn’t mind the lakers re signing pau gasol for a more realistic price for short term and another free agent in the near future as well. (after next year kevin love?) and some other role players designed for defense and/or shooting.

Prime TimeParticipantFor the Celtics, Embiid is a no-brainier.
They lack size in the front court. They could use someone who is athletic, can block shots, and score with their back to the basket. Embiid does all of those things. He could potentially be a star in the league, but even if he doesn’t reach his full potential, he’ll still be a big body who can block shots. He fits perfect next to Sully, KO, and even Faverani.
Not that I wish bad intentions to anyone, but it would be nice if his back problems allowed him to drop down to the Celtics.
I could see Embiid and Sully becoming one of the league’s best front courts.

cheetosjalapeno17Participantdoes exum to the lakers make too much sense? i think he’d look good running a mike d’antoni offense?
