Does anyone else remember that a few years ago (maybe several) espn has an article about a kid from India who was something like 7’1 as a 13 year old and that he had the chance to be what Yao Ming was for China but for India? Meaning he would be the spokesperson for basketball inside of India etc etc. Apparently he was going to go to school in the U.S. but I haven’t heard anything about him since.

  Tanveer (7’3") will be at NMSU together next year. This Satnam kid was a big deal a few years ago as India’s big break in basketball. Sim and Tanveer Bhullar are Indian by blood, but are Canadian by nationality.

I assume you’re talking Sim Bhullar, as tli232 pointed out. He’s a big guy with soft hands. But he has a beer gut and has probably never enjoyed the experience of sliding his feet. Zero agility.

It makes you appreciate how much of a freak Yao Ming was to be so tall but still have the requisite agility to play C in the League.
