tyrekeevansParticipantWhat team and what players would work to get knight on trade night?

BouncyBallParticipantDon’t even bother. Brandon Knight is going to be a Raptor

PaulsJayhawksParticipantI love the optimism but I just dont think hes slipping to us, top 4 looks pretty locked up we are sh#*! out of luck at 5.

Awesome-O-420ParticipantOffer Utah something they want. Cousins might be a difficult to trade to Utah since he doesn’t fit the culture and Utah has shown in the past that how a player fits in is a huge factor. I’m not going to mention Tyreke since the whole reason for drafting Knight is to pair him with Tyreke. Does Utah think the Kings are perpetual losers? If so, future first rounders might be able to do it. Maybe Utah passes on Knight and Kings have shot to trade with Toronto, but again, I don’t see it happening, both teams don’t have much worth trading IMO.
Only assets Kings have are Tyreke and Cousins. And theres no reason to shop either. Cousins is a head case, but someone as talented/big as him doesn’t come around every draft. Just about everyone in this draft you can get in next years draft and the many more following. Kings just have to be patient – I’ve had Jimmer going to Kings for about a week now, I think he’ll fit in nicely and give them almost everything Knight can. (And I’m not a Jimmer fan)

BouncyBallParticipantThis is kind of off topic… But wouldn’t it make more sense for Utah to pick Kanter instead of Knight? That way they can still pick up Jimmer at 12. This would leave Knight to drop to the Raptors, as I expect Cleveland to take Irving with the first pick.

Awesome-O-420ParticipantNo. This site is in love with Kanter – I’m personally not. He looks more like PF than a C to me, and the Jazz have a huge log jam of PF’s already. And I personally don’t think Jimmer is available at 12. He’s killing the workouts and after the combine people are talking about him being…"athletic". Hate him or like him, he’s got a huge following, and I personally think he fits the Kings better than Kemba. So if the Jazz go with the strategy of drafting Kanter in hopes of grabing Jimmer at 12, then they’ll have another PF who doesn’t defend well (or at least hasn’t shown it yet), and theres a good chance they come up short at 12.
I think Jimmer does better on another team outside of Utah. Utah is a half court team, and away from Utah, Jimmer won’t have insane expectations put upon him so I think he’ll do better, and playing next to Tyreke who can also distribute, would also help his transition.
Unless you have a legit all star PG, I think you should build your team to have multiple play makers ala Mavs/Heat/Lakers etc, so the Kings could do well since they need outside shooting and someone who can make a few plays to compliment Tyreke.
