Would the Timberwolves take an offer of Robert Covington (All NBA Defender) Amir Johnson(Solid Veteran Big) and Furkan Korkmaz(Young Sniper)

The 76ers could also throw a couple 1st round picks the Wolves way (Miami pick via Suns trade?76ers own pick in the late 20’s?Maybe the Kings unprotected 1st rounders in 2020?)

I think this might be one of the stronger deals the Wolves would get and only cost the 76ers Covington’s defense and cap friendly contract…This would be Elton Brand pushing some chips to table for a very good 2 Way Player, Joel and Ben play very hard and take their jobs seriously, in fact the entire 76er team is Blue Collar and play Top 3 Defense…Is this a perfect scenario for Jimmy, I feel like NY would be a disaster for him career wise, same goes for LA

Kinda feel like the 76ers are in a position where they are better off not gambling. They are giving too much in that deal. Id be happy to get Covington back if Im the Wolves. 76ers have great developing young talent, role players, allstars all locked in at a young age. Covington is a very useful role player. They will also have cap space next offseason. Trading assets for Jimmy Butler on a rental doesnt really fit their longterm goals because they arent just trying to contend this year but they are in a position to contend the next 10 years.

It makes sense for Toronto because they have already gone all in for Kawhi Leonard on what is assumed to be a one year rental. If they make a trade for Butler and he leaves at least they clear some cap space for free agency next year to help convince Kawhi to choose Toronto to build the next "superteam" and if they both leave after Toronto trades some of their bigger contracts to acquire him then they will not end up being a middling record team when starting the rebuild.

Other then that the only teams I can see being serious contenders are the 3 requested teams Clippers, Nets and Knicks and possibly the Warriors and Lakers.

     On paper, it makes sense.

Not sure Butler fits with Embiid’s or Simmons’ personality. Embiid is a bit pampered in Philly, and I don’t think Butler would respond well to that. Although on the court, Embiid is a competitor.

I agree with this. Philadelphia love Embiid, Jimmy wouldn’t be happy with sharing the lime light or playing second fiddle.

The guy is a cancer, the sixers are better off without him…..

"From the outside looking in you guys seem like a college team! You all support each other, no one seems to care about their stats, you guys are always out eating together – it seems like you guys genuinely care about each & I don’t know if you realize this but it Ain’t like that normally in the NBA"

Fultz then confirms IT’s impressions & gives some more detail

But the point is that Phila team has an incredible culture —- I don’t know how much Butler is to blame, but he’s been in 2 locker rooms in 2 years that disintegrated from the inside out

If you are Phila fans why would ytou wanna risk messing with that Team Culture – Every team in the NBA is trying to Develop that kind of Culture b/c it’s Rare

If Philadelphia is serious about acquiring butler, they are most likely going to have to do better than that. I’d say two of saric/fultz/Covington will probably need to be included along with a future first at the least. Probably not worth it for the sixers. Butler just requested a trade because he had issues playing with younger guys and the sixers are a team built around young guys. He’s also turned into a very ball dominant player. Probably not a great match.

I said Covington, Amir(Cap filler) and Korkmaz(plus 1st round pick)

    For

    Jimmy Butler

    The 76ers end up sending

Covington, Saric(who I’ll miss) and Jerryd Bayless(cap filler) for Jimmy Butler

While I was off on the players(Saric in place of Korkmaz, Bayless instead of Johnson)

Wasn’t I kinda close in what happened?

The Basic idea was to get Jimmy to Philly and RoCo to Minnesota, losing Saric and 2nd Round Pick hurts because Saric was a solid F on a cheap deal, needless to say a healthy Jimmy Buckets makes up for the lose especially if the rumor of Kyrie joining Jimmy in Philly are true (my source says it’s not happening though)
