ExumInfernoParticipantThe picks from Houston and Portland could have been second rounders, but they made the playoffs so Denver has first rounders now.
They still have a Memphis pick, via Cleveland and Mozgov deal, in the future. The leftover of the Carmelo deal moved Denver up a couple of spots in the draft too.
The Nuggets may do some things wrong, but those trades are very good.

r377ParticipantI can’t keep up with all the trades and draft clauses. This site has them with 4 picks ?
7, 15, 17, 18

Mr. HookShotParticipantThe question is what their plan now is? Recent years has shown it is difficult to move up in the draft, with Boston offering up to 4 picks to move into the top 10 last year. Maybe they can pack 17th and 18th for the 14th (Chicago) or 12th (Phoenix), as both teams could benefit from adding multiple players. Moreover, they should definitely use one of the picks on a players who stays overseas.

HitsterParticipantQuite amusing a team ends up with almost 3 consecutive mid first round picks. Until we have the draft lottery we won’t know each team’s full hand or what their options are.
I’d figure teams falsely high in the lottery like Toronto and Boston would not want to trade down for extra picks later in the draft.
Denver might try to move up the draft post lottery by combining one of their mid first rounders with their own high pick. Also contending teams sometimes look to move up the draft and offer proven talent to do so which could generate Denver a few decent offers. Plus Denver might look to package Gallinari or even Faried with some of the mid round picks to see what offers they get if they really want to start over.

meeboy8ParticipantDenver only has 3 first round picks this year 7, 15 and 18. The pick that’s slotted in the 17th spot stays with Memphis this year, the protections on it were 1-5 and 15-30. It’s only protected 1-5 next year though.
