OhCanada-ParticipantAre the Knicks trying to lure the Raptors in for a potential trade with either Calderon,Turkoglu or Bosh?

joecheck88Participantrautins for either one of those guys is the worst trade in nba history, lol. please give more detail on what you mean because new york would have to give up more than rautins for any of those players.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 10:49am #344263

OhCanada-ParticipantWell along with Curry of course. Curry and a 2nd round draft pick. Was Rautins a Toronto Draft Pick that never leaked?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 10:51am #344265

OhCanada-ParticipantMaybe Orlando has a better offer or Charlotte or Sacramento and the Knicks tryed to show Toronto more value by grabbiong a player they would like in the draft.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI hope so
Curry and Rautins for Calderon? Can we do that deal RIGHT now? Please?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 10:59am #344271

OhCanada-ParticipantIm sure they would have to add Chandler or Walker as well.
Curry
Chandler
Rautins
for
Evans
Calderon/Turkoglu0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 11:19am #344278

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantEvans has a big contract…we wouldn’t want him. Maybe S&T Amir Johnson into that deal and no Hedo. We will take Calderon

juves4783Participanti thought this thread was a joke, but it’s actually serious talk.
if all it took was andy rautins for big deal with toronto, i would guess that rautins would’ve gotten selected a lot earlier than where he did.

kaceyParticipantIs there a source for this?
I doubt this is ESPN bottom line worthy news.

juves4783Participanti think my above statement was incorrect. by serious talk, i meant the serious talk between CanadaKush and knicksboy, not that this rumor was remotely true.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 11:52am #344296

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantThat’s why you gave us negatives? Because we were seriously talking about it? Wow Juves…..
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 1:48pm #344349

OMARtheLEGENDParticipantwhat in the f.uck are you talking about honestly yea the knicks are trying to lure the raptors into a sign and trade deal where the raptors trade away semi talelnted players for a second rounder…………..REALLY MAN your better than this step your game up.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 1:56pm #344353

OhCanada-ParticipantNot for Bosh for a last resort contract dump with Calderon or Turkoglu. I just cant comprehend why NYwould do something that stupid. And call me cheap but if Im the Gm and someone offers me Curry on 1 yr 10 mil and some young talent, for Calderon on 3 yrs 10 mil Ièm jumping all over that deal and dumping Jose. Andy Rautins would definitely be a fan favourite which Toronto has been lacking and Chandler is actaully a good young player. This is a serious thread but no truth to the rumour just seomthing a dazed off thinking about…In La La Land.

JJeff6Participantand tell my why you would like this as a raptors fan?? a rookie and a fat center who hasnt done crap in the league in how long for calderon or even a misplaced turkoglu.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 2:05pm #344357

PlatypusParticipantThe Raptors will not trade Amir Johnson
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 2:18pm #344368

PlatypusParticipantthey trade Amir if they can get talent and get rid of a bad contract
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 2:27pm #344374

OhCanada-ParticipantCalderon is a liabillity defensively and costs too much money.Currys contract is ending and Toronto saves about 20 million dollars.Draft picks were being bought for 2 to 5 million.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 2:30pm #344378

JJeff6Participanthow would it help you guys next year though? thats my question. would you use that money to try and obtain another player?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 2:31pm #344379
bkballerParticipantNO WAY the Knicks trade Curry for Calderon whoever said Toronto wouldn’t do it are idiots. Calderon has an awful contract and toronto would love to trade him for an expiring, meanwhile the Knicks need to hold on to Curry to either get a real player later or be players in next years free agency, they can sign Ridnour for Vet Min who is just as bad as Calderon.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 2:35pm #344382

OhCanada-ParticipantThe Raptors orginization isnt concerned just about “next year” they want to be in this league for as long as possible.Like 50 years or 100 years.Sometimes you have to rebuild for the future and getting rid of bad contracts is a great way. They signed Turkoglu with that RIGHT NOW THIS YEAR mentallity and look where it got them.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 2:39pm #344389

JJeff6Participantha 50 or 100 years has nothing to do with the players today. 50% of them will be dead. 100% of them will be dead 100 years from now. so that made no sense. Im sure that any moves they make now will have 0 impact on the raptors teams of 50 to 100 years away (captain obvious). And they are gonna have to win sometime. and im sure you will be the first to admit they didnt think things through when signing Turkoglu. If they are smarter, I see them as a winning team 2 or 3 years down the road.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 3:22pm #344438

OhCanada-ParticipantThey arent gonna win anything with Calderon or Turkoglu so if they target winning 2 pr 3 years down the road clearing up cap space is improtant regardlessly.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 3:26pm #344443

JJeff6Participantokay i agree with you there. They also need to S&T Bosh and bring back some adequate talent.
