Kings fan here. I used to be the Favors over Cousins guy but leaning towards Cousins now. Looks like Favors has a slow release shot (i know its just practice but just saying). With Cousins I think the team will play with more emotion. With Favors I think the team would rely less on emotion and be more of robotic. Favors seems like he needs a Nash type player to be success, you can’t throw the ball down to him and expect him to juke his defender. With Cousins seems like you can do this (even in the practice he shows some juke moves, seems natural to him to do that).

bobbybParticipantDont be fooled by him hitting some outside shots. i think there is a video of Thabeet doing the same, and everyone was like he has range

lalailaParticipantyeah he could but not close to Cousins level..
Cousins is known as a shooting center since high school we just forgot it because Cal made him nothing but true low post center..now when he will be able to do both this guy should become a steal of the game if he is #5 pick..and please Sacramento draft him.

butidonthavemoneyI am a huge Cousins skeptic, but I think he would excel in Sacramento. Great fit, both ways. I’m still a bit worried about his attitude, but I would be willing to take that risk if I was the Kings.

AKOOParticipantAt the end will be a bigger Barkley watch. I guess I could say he is Derrick Coleman during his good times also because that was basically bigger Barkley

butidonthavemoneyI don’t know about a bigger Barkley…
But if you take Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins, and surround them with shooters, defenders and glue-guys, you should have yourself a solid playoff team.
The Kings should be ecstatic to get Cousins and he is a much better fit for them than Monroe would be…

JNixonParticipantYea Cousins and Evans would be a great duo…If they just make it happen. I like Monroe better, but Cousins is a better fit in Sacto than Monroe easily. Sacremento needs a banger like Cousins. Alot of softer players in that frontline.

rickyD510Participantcousins will help out tyreke but i think he’ll help out JT more because the acquisition of Cousins will allow him to play in the high post where he’s more comfortable and more effective

Raef LaFrentzParticipantCousins was looking a bit sluggish there near the ally-oops section of the workout, but overall I think he outperformed Favors. He has a better stroke than Favors does, a much quicker release, & deeper ranger. Also, it looks like Favors has a lot of work to do when it comes to a consistent post-up game. Cousins over Favors, in my opinion.
Good find, antiwork300.

JNixonParticipantY’all thought Favors was better than Cousins at any point in time? Y’all sound surprised that Cousins outplayed him, and it sounds like y’all are just now coming to the conclusion that Cousins is better than him. Welcome to the party, y’all are about 7 months late lol.

Raef LaFrentzParticipantI’ve loved Cousins since day one. Favors only jumped out as a high-caliber athlete rather than a skilled ball player. Cousins has so much skill it’s really frightening what this kid can become.

lalailaParticipantNo i don’t offcourse i’m very high on Cousins since bout December but however the fact is the fact that Favors destroyed him in high school..offcourse now there is other Cousins bigger stronger and way better low post player..but i still believe Favors is not just pick on potential so i will until workout in New Jersey..I don’t think he will be better than DeMarcus (Cousins people know after workouts starts to realize there is some top pick level talent) but i think Derrick can suprise some critics.
