high floorParticipantI gotta say that I’m really intrigued with what the Jazz have cooking this year. Like any team.. health will be a major determing factor.. but I think they are primed for 50 wins this year. I just love their talent, and I think the acquisition of George Hill is really underrated for this team as they bring Dante Exum along at a reasonable pace.
Rudy Gobert: Monster in the middle. Could def average 13&13 with 2.5 blks.
Derrick Favors: Always underrated, I think he pushes for an All Star nod this year
Gordon Hayward: Gives you 17-21ppg every night. Versatile enough to play 3 positions
Rodney Hood: Love this guy. I think he could be a future stud ala Michael Redd & Rashard Lewis
George Hill: Good shooter, good decision maker, good defender. Ideal point guard to usher in the Exum era after Dante show’s what he can do on a consistent basis.
Bench: Burks, Exum, Lyles, Diaw, Joe Johnson, Mack, Withey.. you guys have nice reserves.
I’m buyin Jazz stock. I think they put it together and have a really nice season, and bring back some post-season excitement to the Salt Lake area.

OhCanada-ParticipantThey almost made the playoffs this past season despite being riddled with injuries and having amongst the worst production at PG throughout a PG driven league. This year they are healthy and return their PG of the future Dante Exum while also upgrading at the position with George Hill a playoff ready veteran that fits in nicely with their core group. Their young core is also still improving. Most of these players haven’t hit their ceiling and the team should be able to finish anywhere from 4th to 9th in the wide open West, most likely 5th-8th.

BiggysmallsParticipantAgree with most of this. Think the Jazz will be very solid.
If they get anything out of Exum, they’ve got a really nice 9-10 man rotation.
They don’t have that one transcendent star but they’ve got great balance, depth and a nice mix of vets and young experienced guys.
Think 45-50 wins is doable for them and I’d assume that puts them in the 5-7 seed mix with teams like Memphis, Dallas and Portland.

nick5354ParticipantI feel like every year Derrick Favours is tipped to push to be an all-star, hoeever the last 3 seasons he has really plateaued.
It feels like he has been in the league for years now and he is stil only 24, so maybe you are right.

Captain LParticipantThe Jazz last yr won 40 and without injuries could have easily won 45 to 47, so with the addition of Hill, Joe and Diaw, the young kids improving that even includes Hayward and Favors, ( Hood, Gobert, Lyles, Exum , should all improve), 50 wins shouldn’t be unrealistic, ( certainly injuries could determine) . Last year with Hood, Hayward, Favors and Gobert on the floor with whomever else they played the Jazz were 6 best in the league, they were only healthy enough to play like 45 games together . Exum plus these veteran additions should really help. I really like what the Jazz FO have done and this should be an interesting year.
