 What are everyone’s predictions for the game?

I think the USA will win but will be tested early (much like games against Turkey, Lithuania and Slovenia). Serbia plays with a lot of heart and has the shooting and athleticism on the wings to match up with the USA. Not to mention they have savvy scoring post play with Kristic and Raduljica. They will have to keep Faried and Davis off the O boards and make some timely threes but I think that Bogdan and Teodosic are more than capable of handling the American pressure. Plus I hate to think what either one of those 2 could do if James Harden decides to no show on Defense. 

Overall I think the athleticism of the American bigs is too much and they pull away in the fourth to win by 10-12.

 

Also on a side note, this Serbian team could be really good for the olympics. All their players are under 30 except for Kristic and another big. But Bogdanovich and all their wings should be better and Teodosic will still be in his prime. Not to mention they have Vasilje Micic and Nemanja Dangubic (second rounders this year) that will be coming in and possibly taking spots. Serbians have got to be excited for the next couple of international tournaments.

Does anyone know of any other young Serbians coming through the pipeline?

 I know that, you know that, the OP, knows that – heck, even my cat knows that Team USA will win. What the OP was asking was what you thought of the future of Serbian basketball. 

Personally, I think the Serbs were lucky to make it to the Gold medal game. Not to take anything away from them – they had to fight all the way and should be commended. I just think in the finals, a lot of stars aligned to get them that far. Having said that, I think they have a bright future with a lot of up and coming talent. Should be exciting to watch.

 They have this guy named Bjelica, their starting PF I think who looks really promising. Very versatile, plays like Dario Saric a little.
