Tongue-Out-Like-23Participant41-20 so far, UNC’s size is really bothering Duke, as they do to every team.
Who’s frontcourt is better, Kentucky or UNC?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/03/2012 - 2:55pm #643470

NiceWithTheRockParticipantSo many charges called!
And you best believe Duke will be running all day tomorrow. 32 rebounds in the first half??? sheesh

Stevenyou heard it here first. duke is going to comeback!!
0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/03/2012 - 3:10pm #643473

TyroberParticipantComplete blowout in the first half. NC destroyed Duke on every aspect.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/03/2012 - 3:16pm #643475

NiceWithTheRockParticipantSure comeback to lose by 10

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIt’s getting good.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/03/2012 - 3:52pm #643488
Future_Scoutperhaps unc lacks a go-to guy
0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/03/2012 - 3:53pm #643490

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantHarrison Barnes just put it away with that 3.
I’m pretty sure Barnes is their go-to-guy
0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/03/2012 - 4:01pm #643493
Future_Scoutright, he is their go-to guy. but a go-to guy’s most important move is creating their own shot, barnes doesn’t excel at that

Johnny ChillLive by the 3, lose by the 3.
Duke proves once again that if they cant make the 3 pointer, they cant win.
Their defense is horrible, lead by Ryan Kelly, last weeks nbadraft.net ACC player of the Week.
Kelly was a noshow.
UNC dominated with offensive rebounding and made shot after shot.

What exactly are you implying?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/03/2012 - 4:37pm #643502
Johnny ChillI’m not implying anything. Duke is not a good defensive team, they are not a good rebounding team. UNC exposed them, and if they cant make their 3 point shots, they cant win. Ryan Kelly was named ACC player of the Week by nbadraft.net, he was a no show.

butidonthavemoneyKelly scored a career-high last week in a game that no other Duke player was shooting particularly well. Wake Forest stormed back, but Duke was able to hold them off thanks to Kelly and his outside shooting ability. I actually mentioned that Kelly wasn’t the best player in the ACC last week, but I wanted to talk about him because he could be the x-factor in the potential title-deciding game.
"For the past three and a half months, Kelly’s been more of a luxury than anything else. He’s maybe the third or fourth scoring option on the team. He provides the roster with a little more size and doesn’t hurt the team by making a lot of mistakes. My point is that he’s a good player, but not exactly the biggest cog in Duke’s system."
You’re right about him being a no-show. Duke really could have used his shooting, but he was ineffective and it hurt the whole team.

OhCanada-ParticipantKelly was listed as last weeks ACC player of the week for many reasons. The writer Tyler Ingle stated Kelly has been a consistant presence within Dukes lineup and that he wanted to shed some light on one of Dukes lesser known talents. He even said Kelly wasnt the top performer in the ACC last week.

HaleParticipantWho the hell is this Tyler Ingle writer guy??
0 - Posted on: Sat, 03/03/2012 - 5:57pm #643517
Johnny ChillIngle is either a Duke fan, UNC fan, or has a crush on Ryan Kelly.

TallmanNYCParticipantDuke is a good defensive team when you compare them to the full field. Are they good compared to March Madness, Tourney time? No, not really. But the ability to play two Plumlees and Ryan gives them lots of size. They can defend, just not like you would want from a typical Duke team or from a team ranked top five in the country.
But really UNC just jumped out to a 20 point lead in the first 6 or 7 minutes when Duke couldn’t buy a bucket. After that, the game was basically tied for the rest of the game with Duke making various solid runs to close the gap and UNC holding them off. Reffing was suspect with those charge calls and Duke also picked up game changing offensive fouls trying to rebound the ball. Plumlees always look like they’ve had too much caffine to play smart.
Rivers is coming back for at least another season. The kid is a go to scorer who needs more seasons as the go to scorer. He won’t get that experience next year on an NBA bench.

butidonthavemoney"Ingle is either a Duke fan, UNC fan, or has a crush on Ryan Kelly."
Actually, I remember him writing some pretty fruity things about Ricky Rubio. Ryan Kelly really doesn’t seem like his type.

McDunkin"Ingle slapped my mom just because she said Marshall Plumlee is 6’11’ not 6’10"
"Tyler Ingle dropped my favorite Tapout shirt in bleach when I informed him that there was only one g in Sam Zaglinskis name."
"Tyler Ingle punched me in my throat when I told hm that Roy Williams could coach the Jazz"
"Tyler Ingle bit the ankle of my 5 year old daughter for calling Austin Rivers cuter than AK-47"

HaleParticipantThis Tyler Ingle fella might become an nbadraft.net legend right before our very eyes…and no one knows who he is!
