AdamJCallejaParticipantHe’s killing for Greece right now. I definitely see him as NBA combo guard but he’s not a one & done.

GBeeParticipantAverage to below average athleticism, short arms, thin frame, more of an undersized 2. He’s playing for Greece because his mom is Greek, but he also got cut from Team USA last year. He’s a dime a dozen guard, undersized, score first, score second guard who doesn’t offer much else if he’s not scoring. Marginal prospect. He’s not a one and done type talent.

European BasketballerParticipantLaughing at below average athleticism and undersized 2. Already lies are being made up about this player because they find out that he is in Greek national team.
Unbelievable the ridiculosness of some people in this forum.

GBeeParticipantHe’s neither quick, strong, nor explosive. So by NBA standards he’s below average. And he certainly isn’t a point, he just likes to play on the ball but his point instincts are minimal. He’s a scorer first and foremost. He’s 6’4, but that hardly matters because he has a negative wingspan (wingspan less than his height and one closer to that of a player who is 6′) which makes him play smaller than his height.
And I don’t give a fck if he’s on the Greek national team, I’m basing my evaluation on what I have seen from him domestically over the years. This is a kid who was initially ranked in the top 10 in his class, touted as one of the premier guards in his class, but he’s basically the same size as he was as a freshman, he hasn’t gotten more athletic, and his floor game hasn’t changed much over the years. Subsequently, he has been surpassed by a number of his peers because they simply have looked better and project better given their dimensions and other physical attributes compared to his. He rightfully got dropped in the rankings while getting cut by Team USA along the way.
I.Thomas, B.Knight, Dame? What the hell are you watching? IMO, if he sticks 3 years in college, he’s JamesOn Curry

AdamJCallejaParticipantLol that doesn’t sound like a scout’s analysis, that sounds like someone he did up in high school. Relax bro, we all want to see these kids succeed. Tyler’s a humble kid who I’ve seen play multiple times here in SoCal. He’s not that great of a leaper, but he sure is quick (most scouting reports will tell you that too). He’s stronger than he looks as I’ve seen him hold his own against much stronger guards.

GBeeParticipantPlease. I’m old enough to be his daddy. I don’t want him to fail, I’m just posting what I’ve observed. As an NBA prospect he’s nothing special at all. And no, I wouldn’t consider him quick. He takes choppy steps that slows his momentum. He’s more of a crafty driver than one who uses his physical advantages (doesn’t have any) on drives.

European BasketballerParticipant20110913, of course he is not on the mock drafts, he is playing for Greece. That automatically drops you about 40-50 places in the draft order. Or even makes you undraftable in the eyes of many NBA teams. Especially if they find out you have Greek lineage and descent like Dorsey does.

OhCanada-Participant100% elite scorer better than Trier or Newman just not enough hype. This guys came is ridiculoys . I’d compare him to a taller Isaiah Thomas or Damian Lilliard. He’s being slept on and I’ve got a post on that coming up when the season begins with 20 other underated elite talent

European BasketballerParticipantAlso he was measured at 6-5 by Greek national team. And 6-5 is not "undersized" at all. So you can drop this BS.

GBeeParticipantNegative wingspan. Thin frame. He could measure at 6’6 by the nat’l team and it wouldn’t matter since he doesn’t shoot with his head. He’s as long as an undersized PG. Players are as big as they can reach and their physicality is limited by their frames.

European BasketballerParticipantThis guy is PURE HATER. Nothing more can be said. The moment he said he was not quick, it was almost too much. He was probably quickest player at whole FIBA Under-19 World Championship, and quicker than any player of Team USA.
This poster is making agenda posts.
END OF DISCUSSION.
I’m not even wasting time discussing with such a person anymore.

GBeeParticipantYou have the nerve to talk about agenda posts. I’ve seen your posts in various formats. You have an inferiority/victim’s complex that’s exacerbated by clear mental problems and fanatical nationalism.
I guarantee a few things. 1, you have not tracked Dorsey and followed his progress as long as I have. 2, you didn’t know who the fck he was before this summer. 3, If Dorsey was never cut by Team USA, he would not have played for Team Greece and you wouldn’t know who the hell he was, nor would you be defending him like he was one of your own.
No, he’s not quick. He lacks range in his movement and he lacks burst. He relies on changes of speed on his drives, not burst. I’ve seen him spin his tires countless times trying to get by his man from a standstill so he has to rely on craft and selling contact (which he’s actually good at) on drives.
