    Good decisions by both in my opinion. Both project as second rounders this year and could stand to improve. Not sure Jones can get his stock higher than late first next year, but at least he’s giving himself a chance to be a more consistent shooter, unlike the very similar Trevon Duval. Smith, however, I could see being a 2020 lottery pick if he can add muscle and be more consistently productive.

     Great decision on both guys part. Rj Hampton had Duke on his list and said he was waiting to hear Jones decision. Now that Jones is staying at Duke another year I pray Hampton picks Memphis.

    Great decision by Tre Jones.

    Dukes projected 2019-2020 rotation:

    PG: Jones/Goodwire/Ellis

    SG: Baker/AOC

    SF: Moore

    PF: White…maybe if Hurt signs 

    C: Carey/Jav/Bolden

    With Tre Jones back, that’s a top 5 team. Without Tre, Duke would of been a top 8-14 team. Big difference with an experience starting PG back to lead the team.

     Tre/Carey would be a similar makeup as their last title team: Bro Tyus and Jahlil Okafor. Obviously, we have to see how their wing play goes.

       Tre is not the shooter, finisher Tyus was in college. Carey is not the post player Okafor was. People forget how dominate Okafor was as a Frosh. He was ACC player of the year and runner up National Player of the year.

         Carey is a beast in the post..he’s game is similar to Okafor, with a better shot and quicker feet…

          No where near the polish that Okafor had, which goes far in the college game.

           I just saw some highlights of Carey. He’s nimble with some handles for a big guy. Also a nice touch on his jumper. He has a more modern game than Jah, but not the post game Jah had.
