IndianaBasketballParticipantBlazers’ Outlaw out indefinitely
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Portland forward Travis Outlaw sustained a stress fracture in his left foot during the first quarter of the Trail Blazers’ game against Charlotte on Saturday night.
Outlaw entered the game third on the team in scoring, averaging 10.9 points. Team officials said he was out indefinitely and would return to Portland for further evaluation.

This will really hurt the Blazers. Batum and Outlaw are now out. Webster and Fernandez will pick up his minutes at small forward, but Outlaw also backed up Aldridge at power forward. The Blazers have Juwan Howard and Dante Cunningham, but Howard is old and Cunningham is just a rookie. The Blazers may need to make a move.0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/14/2009 - 8:02pm #229899

TwoCentsTVParticipantWebster had the same fracture last year and only played in one game. While I don’t think Outlaw’s injury is that severe, it’s still more than likely that he’ll miss a substantial amount of time. Howard may be “old,” but with age comes experience. He should be able to step up and provide 10-12 minutes a night. Pendergraph might surprise some people as well.

IndianaBasketballParticipantPendergraph is also injured though. I think he had hip surgery before the season started.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantyea he did. I believe he won’t be back until near all star weekend.

TwoCentsTVParticipantYou’re right, he did have surgery, but he should be back by early December, or at least that’s what I remember reading a couple of months ago.

IndianaBasketballParticipantJuwan has a lot of experience and Cunningham looked pretty good during summer league and pre-season, but I think the Blazers should pick up another power forward that can score.
