valentineas a Celtics fan I always here we should trade like the 3rd pic and parts for like butler or cousins. and it sounds fair when you say 3rd pick 16 Bradley and amir for cousins sounds decent. but when you say dragan bender denzil valentine Bradley and amir, it sounds like the pu pu platter that it is.lol something so mysterious and exotic about draft picks ,that is until you put a name on it. lol

UncledrewParticipantIf I can get Cousins for the 3rd pick in this draft plus some mediocre pieces like Bradley and Amir Johnson I’ll accept immediately. But in that case Sacramento GM immediately gets fired. The only time a top pick is sexy enough to pry a franchise caliber player away is if your sure the pick will return you a franchise caliber player. The 2016 draft has a couple potential franchise level players but there more tier 2, could be all star, all nba level or could just amount to solid starters or fringe Allstars. Prying a superstar away would require a super strong draft where you know a Durant or LeBron level player is within your grasp.

natevalParticipantIs Bradley mediocre? 6th this year in defensive player of the year voting, he got the most votes out of any guard in the NBA. Bradley will most likely be 1st NBA all defensive team. Bradley is the best perimeter defender in the league. Pretty nice player to have with this new style NBA.
Cousins is one of the most toxic NBA players in this league. Yes he has great talent but he’s only is signed for the next two seasons. He will be an UFA in two years I just can’t see a team that will mortgage their entire future for him. I don’t agree with the OP suggesting Bradley, Nets 2016 pic and Amir is enough to get Cousins but it’s probably not really far off. Maybe add some young combo of players like Hunter,Rozier,Young.
Uncledrew if this was a "super strong draft where you know a Durant or Lebron player is within your grasp" why would you give up that player for Cousins? Hell I wouldn’t even trade KAT for Cousins straight up never mind all time greats like Durnat and Lebron.

bmac697ParticipantIve thought about this trade a lot and I think the only way sac would accept trade is if pick is top 2. Even at three it wouldn’t be high enough, like uncledrew said the only time the pick is sexy enough to trade your top player is if your replacing him with a player who at least has potential to be a star. I think we can all agree this draft is between two players although I like other guys as solid role players but no one past 2 really stands out to me. Maybe Jamal Murray or kris Dunn but not enough to trade cousins for. Also to make the trade work I see sac liking smart over Bradley. Although both solid defenders I see sac liking to build around smart more and then drafting Ingram with 2nd pick, and maybe olynk and Johnson to match salary gets a trade done. I really like bostons potential, but there def lacking a second scorer and imo I would be pushing hard for cousins while I have the assets and picks to make something work.

HitsterParticipantWith all the options Danny Ainge has, I don’t see DMC being at the top of his targets. This is only due to all the baggage DMC carries with him. Personally I don’t see Ainge wanting him anywhere near his roster.
Also if DMC’s reputation gets any worse then his asking price will get lower as the Kings won’t have so many suitors. Some teams will glady snap up DMC but they won’t have the assets that Boston has.
