laarethekingsParticipantRyan Anderson for Omer Asik
We saw last season that Howard doesn’t work well with another big on the block. Anderson is the perfect 4 to play with someone like Howard.
Asik allows Pelicans to move Davis to PF ( Where he should play ) giving them size to protect the rim. Also allows them to play the 3 guards at the same time without being killed on D. With Davis and Asik behind them they won’t be free runs at the rim.
Who’s next with the a deal that works so well it most likely won’t happen.

jhbm24ParticipantEric Gordan for Lou Deng and marquis Teague
This allows the pelicans to keep Evans happy and bring veteran leadership, while brining in a friend of Anthony Davis in Teague who I believe would be a solid backup. As this finally brings the bulls that second scorin option who can actually create for himself and others so D Rose won’t have to do anything. Yeah their whole backcourt will be coming off knee injuries but I think that’s a chance you take.

Kinguy11ParticipantI don’t think the Bulls will give up Deng bar for a proven star. Gordon has the talent but is injury prone. Plus Deng was the Bulls #1 option with Rose out last season so I don’t see him being traded.
With Gordon being moved I prefer him for Danny Granger.

jjbutler73Participantsince the original post was New Orleans and Houston and yours is New Orleans and Chicago. Aside from that, Chicago is a well run organization, they don’t want Gordon.

WarblingSpamalopeParticipantI wouldn’t do this trade because Gordon is such an unknown. No one has seen what a full season from him looks like. The Bulls think they have a shot at the title with a healthy Rose. Why would you gamble on more scoring when they lock people with defense and now have Rose to drive their offense. Deng gets less love for his lack of flash, but he is a secondary scorer and a great defender. You don’t gamble like this when they think they have a title shot.

jhbm24ParticipantDon’t just negg me without tellin me why you dont like the trade. For some reason everyone thinks Granger for Eric Gordan is a good deal when Loul Deng is Bette than granger, not coming off knee problems, and plays way better defense also has more intangibles. So why isn’t this a good trade?

Kinguy11ParticipantAs I said in my other post i don’t think the Bulls would do the trade. The Pacers would be more likely to move Granger than the Bulls to move Deng.

ASAP HenryParticipantI actually like the trade for the Bulls. The badly need another perimeter scorer, and when healthy Eric Gordon is more than capable than providing that option to a ball club. With that being said, if I were the Bulls I would at least wait until later into the season to see if Eric Gordon is healthy. The kid has all the talent in the world, but has yet to play a full 82 game season. Being from Chicago I badly want the Bulls to make a trade that is a “swing for the fences” type of trade, but they need to be smart. EG would be a great fit, and I think Luol Deng would be a good fit for New Orleans, but the Bulls should be extra careful. Deng is a warrior and embodies everything that the Bulls stand for, but Eric Gordon has way more potential. And if he is healthy then they should seriously pursue this trade

ItsRainingNegsParticipantIf Gordon is healthy for 82 his value rises while Deng gets a year older. I understand why you’d rather pass on the deal, but this is the only time it would be conceivingly available.

slash787ParticipantDrummond isn’t even 20 years old yet and has a rookie contract. Why on earth would the Pistons trade one of the best assets in the NBA for Rondo coming off a serious injury with little shot at a run for the title.

joecheck88ParticipantWhy did they sign Josh Smith to a big deal? Dumars is running the show. He’s gotten lucky the past few years and players have fell into his lap. He’s made bad move after bad move. That’s why the Pistons would do it. Lol

B-ball fanParticipantWhile that trade isn’t bad, I think Anderson is definitely the best player in that trade, so if I were the Pelicans, I’d want a little extra. Maybe throw Olbrecht into the deal as well. That said, the Pelicans do really need a defensive-minded big and would really benefit from moving Davis to PF.

XYRYXParticipantI thought about Asik for Andrerson for a while and as much as I liked it first, I think Parsons is not worse playing along Dwight as if you trade for Anderson. Would like it more if Houston goes after a point guard.

Jr. ROXASParticipantThey should just play montiejunas as their stretch four. Though he can’t shoot the three better than Ryan, he is taller, more athletic better at the post and has more potential than Anderson.

slash787ParticipantI like your point. Between Donatas and Terrence Jones the Rockets are fine at PF. Both of those guys have a ton of upside and can hit the three. Maybe not as well as Anderson but I would rather have Asik, TJones, and Donatas over Anderson. Just because Asik wants a trade doesn’t mean he will get one.

mercyman25ParticipantPhoenix has like 5 or 6 point guards! Maybe a third team could be involved to get Houston one of the Suns point guards?
