So here me out on this…we’ve all been thinking of potential places for Mr. Jennings to end up, and I have thought of a decent trade that will benefit all 3 teams involved

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3jyx8cb

Mil receives: Jose Calderon, Andrea Bargnani, and 5th pick in 2011 draft

Tor receives: Andrew Bynum and Keyon Dooling

Lal receives: Brandon Jennings, Corey Maggette, Jon Brockman, and the 10th pick in 2011 draft

    Bucks draft Alec Burks 5th

Lakers draft either a center like valanciunas with the 10th pick or take a wing like hamilton

    lineups

    Tor:

    PG- Jerryd Bayless

    SG- DeMar DeRozan

    SF- James Johnson

    PF- Ed Davis

    C- Andrew Bynum

    Mil:

    PG- Jose Calderon

    SG- Alec Burks

    SF- Carlos Delfino

    PF- Andrea Bargnani

    C- Andrew Bogut

    Lal:

    PG- Brandon Jennings

    SG- Kobe Bryant

    SF- Ron Artest

    PF- Lamar Odom

    C- Pau Gasol

its not a bad proposal but i think that toronto doesnt recieve enough.

they give up their top scorer, a starting point gaurd and the 5th pick for a bench guy and a talented centre who is far to injury prone to rely on.

What if Ron Artest went to Toronto in exchange for Amir Johnson (Lakers) and Linas Kleiza (Bucks)?  Would that make this deal more even or would it still need some adjustments with picks and such. I think it would even it out most because SF is a hole that Toronto needs to fill, not to mention they need to play more defense and who better than Ron Ron to mentor this team and be a vocal leader for them?

The players in the trade seem ok but the Bucks have been Projected to get Burks at 10 and i have never really seen him go any higher on any site so why would they trade to get him @ 5, seems like a stretch

Unlikely that the Bucks would give up their best two players and I could see the Lakers really chasing Bogut if he was involved in this trade but it does kind of work out well especially for the Bucks.

i think the trades are ok, but toronto has two key losses to their line up. Toronto does not get enough in return for calderon and bargnani, especially with andrew bynum missing games consistintly every season with injury.

I hope the Raptors would rebuild entirely through draft and draft smartly than to get some young veterans and try to patch from there.

I don’t get why the Bucks would need to move up 5 pick just to get Alec Burks.  I am pretty sure they can get Burks at #10.

the only reason i didnt have toronto getting enough was simply because i think that bryan colangelo would trade his left nut to get a guy with the talent level of andrew bynum

Than why didn’t he do the Chris Bosh for Bynum trade proposal? He was that delusional that Bosh would sign an extension? Andrew Bynum is two things, a potential All-Star and game changing Center, and also a player who has yet to prove he can stay healthy. That is incredibly worrisome. Yes, his PER is higher than anyone in this trade, but it is hard to see how the Raptors would really benefit that much unless Bynum actually plays in games, which is not a sure thing. They lose their pick, they get Keyon Dooling and they get a massive question mark who looked incredibly hindered in the play-offs. I think Bryan Colangelo’s testes stay intact.

Also, why would the Bucks be that desperate to get rid of Brandon Jennings? Andrea Bargnani may be a nice fit on Milwaukee, but throw in Calderon and their defense is even worse than last year. Just do not see the good in this trade really for anyone, because while the Lakers would gain maybe the best and by far the most athletic PG Kobe has ever played with, they also lose the length that made them so deadly. Plus, Corey Maggette has never been one to help a team improve their chemistry, sorry to say. To me, this would be a pretty bad deal for every team involved, and while I am sure people are salivating over the fact that Brandon Jennings gets to go back home, this would not be the deal that sends him there.

another funny thing.. whenever theres a trade thread involving the lakers getting the better end of it no matter what it gets a tumbs up…

Im not saying this trade would happen, but im shocked everyone is questioning Toronto here. When have Calderon or Bargnani ever proven to be winners? At least with Bynum you are betting some potential, keeping Barg and Calderon will just leave you in the lottery for years to come.

So the Lakers give up Bynum, for a overatted Point Guard in Jennings, and a Rookie?

To quote the great Lynwood Jenkins. NOPE!!! LaL has been offered Melo, Bosh, and KG(while A.B. was at 18yrs old), and have turned them all down. Not to mention Gasol has no business playing the 5 in the West any more than 20 games. As proven by his claims of being tired 25 games into this years season. He’s just to physically weak to play the position consistently. Not to mention defensively they are piss poor come playoff time with Odom and Gasol up front. If you aint gettin a CP3, Deron,Dwight  or an Iggy/pick/young player combo type deal, no way Bynum goes. Perhaps Pau for Bargs and Jennings would be very acceptable, but nothing else. Just looks like an NBA 2k trade to me.

An Idea I’ve been throwing around is potentially Pau,SHannon and a Ebanks for Monta &Biedrins. GSW drafts Kemba and let him play the role Monta always did as the slashing scorer who gets out in transition. Still pipe dream, but at least its plausible.
