Lotto StudParticipantWe already know Toronto would love to have a guy like Kanter, but at the #5 spot they are pretty much in a jam if by any chance it falls like this……
1.Irving
2.Williams
3.Kanter
4.Valanciunas
Raps fans which direction do you all go in…….Vesely or Knight? By any chance is it any word that the organization may like Walker over Knight?
You acquired James Johnson via trade which he gives solid production & then you have guys like Linas Kleiza & Sonny Weems who you can plug in at the 3. Do you go away with Vesely since you have legitimate 4’s in Johnson, Evans, Dorsey?
Walker over Knight?

boshjonesfordParticipantwell i would be fine with ether Knight or Vesely….but not walker
but ive been doing alot of reading and accroding the the rumors by multple sources the raptors are very high on Bismack Biyombo…..some of the sources say they will take him at five….and another source said that BC (GM) will take him at 5 regardless of weather Knight is avaiable or not.
2 days ago when they announced Dwne Cassey BC reffered to Bismack as "a beast" and in the interview he also stated that regardless of where anylyst have players going he will not hesitiate to pick Bismack with the 5th pick if he feels thhat he is the right player (maybe preparing the media) —————— in my opinion 5th seems to high for him but then again BC has seen him work out

QCBALLERParticipantIts defenatly knight first, and then I’ll go with Jan vesely (will be incredible in casey’s zone and transition). I love walker as much as knight but the potential of knigh is way higher. Valanciunas is another option. I love Bitchsmack but not at 5 … nor leonard (soo overrated).

BasketballGuru24ParticipantKnight for sure!! he is a pretty damnn good defender and with dwayne casey coaching him , he can be a lockdown defender and a potential all star.

TFCParticipantI think they’ll take Knight if things go like that, which would be good value for #5. I have a soft spot for Kemba and I’d love to see him in a Raps shirt though I reckon Knight might be the better prospect.
As for Biyombo I’d be both shocked and disappointed if we pick him so high.

CanArmyGoRapsParticipantYou have to take an elite talent at a position of need when you have the chance. I like Biyombo too but not at 5. If they like him so much package some pieces or the trade exception to get another top 8-10 pick.

Steven12345ParticipantI would want Walker or Knight … But Bismak is too high at 5 if they want him they have to trade for a low pick and hope he falls in there lap …. But i think if bryan colangelo drafts another international talent and it doesn’t work out he’s gonna get fired so he might just stick with Walker or Knight

PavloskiParticipantIt’ll be knight first and foremost. I’m personally not sold on Biyombo being our 5th pick but it seems we’re going that way if Knight is gone.
Kanter doesn’t really fill any need for us as he’s basically a big PF who has suspect defensive abilities, things that we need from any post being added to our roster.
1. Knight
2. Vesely
3. Trade down for Biyombo

thparadoxParticipantKnight is the clear pick. Seems like a very hard worker on both offense and defense. You have to hope he turns into Chauncey Billups.
Vesely is raw and may never fully develop offensively. I like him a lot… he’s the Dunking Ninja. But he’s a big risk.
Kemba is a scorer. His scoring translates becuase he’s athletics. besides that I’m doubtful.
Biyombo is really not that bad a pick. He is extrmely quick and fluid for a guy his size. He shows incredible defensive instincts… watch the hoop summit clips. I think Knight is the pick, but if he picks Biyombo, I won’t judge it too harshly. This isn’t like Saer Sene.
I’m praying for Kanter though. I think he’s the best prospect besides Irving

OhCanada-ParticipantI wanna see what Casey can do with these young guys, so I honestly wish they could grab Kanter or Valanciunas over anyone. Or trade Bayless and the 5th for Parker and the 29th, then draft Mirotic/Bertans. If we are choosing between Knight, Walker, Vesely, Leonard I would choose between Knight and Leonard with Knight ahead of the pack by a large bit. Isnt anyone curious to see what James Johnson can do given oppurtunity under a real coach, or Jerryd Bayless, Amir Johnson, keyword oppurtunity.

OhCanada-ParticipantAt the same time I have alot of respect for Casey, I actaully trust Torontos Head Coach…I know its wierd right. For the first time in a long time I can honestly say that if the Head Coach of the Toronto Raptors selects a player I would not dare select at 5 I would be okay with it. If Casey thinks he can make it work I’ll support him until he gives me reason not to. I would be a bit upset but okay with the Raps taking Biyambo at 5. The problem is Knight is going to be good, Walker is going to be good in a Brandon Jennings way…and Leonard and Vesely seem like very good role players. If he drafts Biyambo he has to make it work or the city will let him know.

BradfomsParticipantWell the Toronto papers this morning indicated that it is between Leonard, Valanciunas, Knight, and Biyombo. I’m hoping the Raps are smart enough to pounce all over Knight if he slips to them. I think it will be easier to address the need for a C in free agency or trade than it will to address the PG spot that way…

kanyedabestParticipantwe certainly dont need kawi, from the games i’ve seen of him this year he cant really even dribble, there is no smoothness to his dribble and its been noted many times he has no jumpshot… how could u have derozan nd him playing next to eachother, lmao at having 2 wings who cant shoot. For me its a tough choice btwn knight and walker, i really love knights overall presence, he is still very young and has tremendous potential…. where as walker he is a guy the average fan is able to recognize and he can bring instant life to the raps fan base. I think he very well could be ROY. I’d be very happy with either choice tho.

BradfomsParticipantAgreed. The Raps get tons of rebounding at the PF position with Amir, Davis and Reggie Evans (when healthy). Everyone thinks Biyombo is going to play C, but that honestly puts the Raps in even more of a logjam at PF if they want to move Bargnani to the 4 too. That gives you Davis, Johnson, Bargs, and Evans…there is no way that can work. If you want to argue that one or two of those guys can be moved to the C position, then there is no need for Biyombo anyhow. I just feel like Knight is not somebody we should pass on, and if we really want Biyombo, then we ought to trade down, as so many others have suggested…
