Roy Williams is the top of the list to me his programs have produced a lot of first round picks and he alwayshas recruting classes that are top 10. Jim Calhoun is second in my opinion he brings in 5 star prospects and produces plenty of first round picks just like Williams. Who you guys got?

I think Calhoun is best at getting his players to the NBA. He’s turned a lot of people who were nobodies before to great players, (Thabeet)

Bill Self was my pick top this list… I mean, it seems like Kansas has anywhere from 5-10 mdconalds all americans AT ALL TIMES. And before Kansas, this is the guy who assembled the DWill-Luther Head-Dee Brown 3 headed monster at Illinois…

But when I actually looked it up, Roy Williams has had the most success of late. (whether that’s because of the school or him)

2009(4): Only team with multiple mcdonalds AAs:

Wear, Wear, Henson, Strickland (+ Leslie McDonald)

2008(3): Only team with 3 (UCLA and Ohio State- 2 each):

Drew II, Ed Davis, Zeller (+ Justin Watts)

    2007(0) NO RECRUITS

    2006(3): Duke also had 3:

Ellington, Ty Lawson, Brandan Wright (+ Stepheson, Thompson, Graves)

2005(3): Duke and Kansas also had 3:

    Frasor, Hansbrough, Green (+ Ginyard)

That’s 3.25 Mcdonalds AAs per recruiting class (didn’t have spots for anyone in 2007!) that’s ridiculous

I should also note that from 2005-2007, Coach K had 3, while he only had 1 in 2008 and 2 in 2009… but still, that is also pretty good. Coach K’s McD AAs do have a tendency to leave (Boateng,Taylor King, Elliot Williams)

Yall might be sayin his name in a few years. After what he did at Marquette and already getting a top ten recruiting class after his first year at IU. He is gonna start getting all the in state players in Indiana and when that happens game over.

Self is at the top of my list too. He has recruited Kansas better than Roy did actually, Roy is a great coach and produced great players but a lot of that was through development. Roy has brought in monster classes at UNC, but his first title with May, Felton, and others he didn’t recruit. Self and his staff can bring them in year after year. I think in a couple years Jeff Capel of Oklahoma could be on this list too. He is just young and hasn’t been a head coach all that long, but he is off to a great start as a recruiter. Rick Barnes is a great recruiter too, Texas pulls in top notch recruits every year, I may even consider putting him over Self actually.

Paul Hewitt 5 McDonald All Americans in the last 4 years. All 5 will probably be first round picks as well.

I’d say Bob Huggins (I agree with what FOTG said, he gets his kinds of players, and I saw 1st hand what kind of guys he can bring in when he coached at Kstate) and Roy Williams, he has always gotten the big name recruits and he gets it in quantity as well.
