I agree with everything except Granger over Pierce. I’m a huge Granger fan, but he’s not there yet. He needs to work on his ball handling and creating off the dribble.

The 1st list is correct, except Pierce is better than Granger

is obviously number one. I remember when I was younger I used to play basketball with this guy that kept talking about how horrible Lebron was going to be and how he was overhyped. I always remembered thinking that the guy was super athletic, massive and could pass extremely well. I always thought that even if he didn’t live up to the hype that he was going to be a very good player. At worst a more athletic Lamar Odom.

Anyways here are the rest…

2. Pierce- I think he is more underrated now that he plays next to 2 great players and one that is emerging. Actually he’s playing with two guys who are on the decline, but that are still very effective. You saw what he did in the Finals and how he did all he could to keep his team in the playoffs. The guy has never gotten the credit he deserves.

3. Durant – I think he actually passed up Carmelo. He should have been an all star this past year. He would be higher, but he still needs to work on his D.

4. Granger- Ever improving player. He would be able to do a lot more if he played on a better team. Good defender as well as good shooter and shot blocker.

5. Carmelo- Getting better. I’d like to see more on defense, but no one can contain him down low, which compliments his nice stroke from the outside.

As good as Durant is, he’s NOT better than Melo. Durant is a great scorer, but Melo is even better. He imposes his will on you physically, which is something Durant can’t do. Melo can shoot the mid-range, trey ball AND he can post you. Did you see how he man handled Kobe and every other Laker defender consistently in the playoffs? He just has more to his game right now than Durant.

1. LeBron – It’s obvious.
2. Melo – He’ll never catch LeBron and Wade, but he closed the gap considerably last season.
3. Pierce – Still a great all-around small forward. The total package. What can’t he do? He’s still “The Truth”.
4. Durant – A great scorer at this point. Needs to add strength and just keep getting better. He may be able to touch Melo eventually, but he’ll never touch LeBron.
5. Granger – A great scorer, but needs to continue working on ball handling and go to moves off the dribble.

I’m surprised Hedo isn’t getting any love… RJ is not better than Hedo. Maybe 5 years ago.

Pierce > Melo because he can lock down better, although Melo really picked it up on the defensive end this year, that’s why I have him at 3. I’d also trust Pierce more with the ball at the end of the game, which is crucial in the NBA. There’s a reason the nuggets won a lot more games this year~ chauncey had the ball at the end of the games and not Melo….

Melo > Durant strictly for his defense. If Melo would’ve played the same defense as 2 years ago, I’d probably have put Durant ahead. Durant is one of the best, and most pure scorers in the game. It’s amazing to think he’s 6’10+. So smooth, so crafty.

I like Hedo over Grainger just because of his work in the pick and roll and the ability he’s shown in the clutch. Grainger, though, can score from all over and he’s so damn athletic, and can guard multiple positions… that’s a tough one. I’d probably go Grainger though.

Melo right now has realize that he had never really put in work like he should have he been playing off just talent now that he’s putting in work hes unguarable and play D jusk ask Kobe

I see Anthony Randolph as more of a PF but if you want to say he is a SF then he is definitely TOP 10. Watch him play butidonthavemoney.

I think a lot of yall are overrating Pierce significantly. Yeah he makes clutch shots but that doesn’t mean you are top 5. I have seen him wear down in the playoffs on numerous occassions. Also he does the same move at the end of games everytime (pull up midrange jumper). There are a lot of other small forwards that have more skills.

Can someone give some love to Butler other than GatorHeels? He can do it all and is one of the best multi-dimensional small forwards in th NBA. He utilizes the pump fake and the jab step better than any NBA small forward and hes no slouch on d either as he gets hi ssteals and can guard the opposing tems best perimeter player.

1-2 is obviously LeBron, Melo. Then I woudl say Durant, Granger, maybe Pierce. He really isn’t anything more then a big name who can score low 20’s anymore. Next year he will take a big step back.
