As y’all know, I have been a Bulls fan all my life and I would love to share my top 10 favorite players ever wearing the red, white and black. (remember that it doesn’t have to be the best of the best, just the players you admire regardless of the status of their careers)
10. Andres Nocioni – A relentless and pesky defender that brings it all on the court. His overall game is solid plus the energy he brings to the table is always appreciated by us fans. He would have been PERFECT under Tom Thibodeau.
9. Ben Gordon – BG became the first ever rookie to win the Sixth Man Award and deservedly so. I remember the enigma wherein he would struggle for the first 3 quarters of the game and then would go on to erupt in the 4th becoming a clutch player in the process. He was that decade’s Microwave. It is unbelievable how he could turn it up in a matter of seconds.
8. Taj Gibson – I was reluctant to have Taj Gibson back in the 2009 draft. He was one of the oldest players (24) out there and I wouldn’t believe that he would have much of an impact on the court anyway. I couldn’t be happy that I was wrong. Taj was simply the high energy guy that we would come love and admire. His tenacity on the defensive end and his acceptance of whatever role is given to him makes him a fan favorite not just for me, but for the city of Chicago as well. He is the definition of a blue-collar worker.
7. Toni Kukoc – Toni’s contributions during their second three-peat was stellar to say the least. He had been the go-to scorer if MJ and Scottie had an off night. He was one of the first 6’10 guys who has shown a well-polished offensive skills back when they were still a rare breed. Nowadays, you see guys like KD and Giannis. Toni was one of the main pioneers of big guys that can shoot.
6. Dennis Rodman – The Worm doesn’t care if he ever scores in a game. The only thing that mattered to him was the rebounds and hustles. It was a bonus watching him score but the more important job for him was to make sure they outrebound their opponents on a nightly basis. The hair color changes every game doesn’t hurt his stock either.
5. Joakim Noah – Joakim’s energy and defensive ability is contagious. It always seems to hype up everybody on the team. He’s a guy that pisses you off when you’re on the other side but the guy you love when you’re on his side. He tells it like it is and he’s not shying away from confrontation. When Dennis Rodman/Charles Barkley tells you that you’re their favorite player, you must have done something right. How can you not love a guy who rebounds, defends, hustles and makes the wise play night in and night out?
4. Marcus Fizer – A bust is what you’ll say but I’ll say an unfortunate fate for a guy who could’ve been solid if not for the consecutive ACL injuries. He’s a guy who could’ve had a solid career. In fact, the Bulls traded Elton Brand to make way for his minutes. There were moments where he’d go 20 and 16 and there were times he struggled to produce. It was disappointing but he is still one of my favorite Bulls ever.
3. Scottie Pippen – Without Scottie, it would be more difficult for Mike to get his six rings. He was the Batman to Jordan’s Superman. He is the typical point forward that you see in today’s NBA. He is as tenacious on the defensive end as he was on the offensive end. Scottie guards the best offensive player on the otherside when the game is on the line.
2. Derrick Rose – The youngest MVP. Period. His ability to change speed, absorb contact and contort mid-air is one of the best highlights to watch by any fan. It’s unfortunate to see him never reach his potential due to injuries. He could have been the second-best Bull ever. I’m simply rooting for him in Detroit and he’s looking like a player who cautions himself now than in the past.
1. Michael Jordan – The GOAT. 6 championships. 5 MVP’s. Need I say more? Mike made me fall in love with basketball when I was young. He set a standard for excellence that only a few could ever achieve. He is simply a freak of nature and his competitiveness remained unmatched til this day.

Top 10 favorite Heat(favorite team) players of all time.
1. Dwyane Wade—- Favorite player of all time and the reason why I became a Heat fan. Will never ever forget his poster on Varejao.
2. Jimmy Butler—- Sure he hasn’t been with the team very long but I like him already. His hard work and intensity is sure as hell helping this team right now.
3. Justise Winslow—- I always liked the guy ever since he got drafted to Miami. I even have a post about that. Always a believer of him.
4. Bam Adebayo—- The guy is starting to grow on me ever since draft day and he’s proving me wrong since then. He became a very versatile center who could be MIP.
5. Goran Dragic—- The Dragon is probably the best Heat PG in history. He always plays at a high level and has been through tough times in South Beach and has been killing it as a 6th man.
6. Tyler Herro—- Another Heat draftee that I like who can shoot the lights out given the chance and has the confidence to do so. Man killed it in recent summer league and has been playing well so far.
7. Wayne Ellington—- The man with the golden arm really got a chance to shine when he was here. He had his best years here and even competed in the 3pt contest in 2018.
8. Shane Battier—- One of the keys guys who helped Miami win those championships in 2012 and 2013. Always loved his game. One of the OG 3 and D players.
9. Udonis Haslem—- The captain and arguably one of the more iconic players in Heat history.
10.Lebron James—- Helped us won 2 titles, 27 game win streak, Harlem shake. Made this Heat team fun.

1. Kobe- favorite athlete from age 6 (rookie year) to 26 years old.
2- Derek Fisher- so many comparisons to a less skilled and athletic kobe when you look at their mental makeup
3-Pau- was the perfect robin to kobe’s batman
4- Horry- the perfect role player; plus he was so clutch. It’s like he only hit shots when it mattered most
5- Ariza- was a perfect fit with kobe at the 3. perfect role player just like pat beverly
6- odam- a great role player for kobe with pau
7- Magic probably would be higher, but since i was 6 in 1996, I never remember watching much of him, in his prime.
8-Shaq- just so dominant, if he and kobe wouldve been more mature they couldve won atleast 2 or 3 more rings with the right support minimum..
9-Artest- he came up huge in game 7 and was the difference in beating the celtics when kobe struggled
10-Sasha- came up big in the finals.. those freethrows..

Pacers fan:
#1: Reggie Miller – All-Time franchise talent I loved the way he played, in particular his off ball movement & tenacity for a skinny dude.
#2: Danny Granger – When things sucked after the Malice it wasn’t until Granger broke outthat I started to enjoy watching again. He is why all-time what if he could stay healthy. Still think trading him for Evan Turner was the downfall of our 2013-14 team.
#3: Victor Oladipo – He hasn’t been here long, but man he has made a hell of an impression on me. Loved his first season & confident he will come back at a high level.
#4: David West – Instilled a very good culture & was a great leader. A shame we didn’t get him a little younger, but he was a huge part of the cleaning up of the franchise to make the whole malice a more distant memory.
#5: Domantas Sabonis – This kid just plays with all heart & is fun to watch. His hustles his butt off & is only going to get better at 23yrs of age.
#6: Thaddeus Young – The ultimate Pacers glue guy. Just a perfect fit for the franchise & was willing to do anything required of him.
#7: Lance Stephenson – Probably the most entertaining Pacer that I have seen, was gutted to see him leave to Charlotte, but when he came back he started a bit of a revival. Hard not to like the guy if you’re a Pacers fan.
#8: Tyler Hansbrough – I’m a bit of a UNC fan as well, so to see my favourite ever college player end up on my favourite NBA team well match made in heaven. Granted there was better players & positions of need we had to address at the time (PG), but the kid was a physical beast who never took a play off.
#9: George Hill – Kind of the guard version of Thaddeus Young & David West, just played his role, did it well & was a good leader of the team.
#10: C’s!!! Jermaine O’Neal, Myles Turner & Roy Hibbert all get this spot. I couldn’t really separate them if I’m honest, but they all provide very nice shot blocking ability & just guys I enjoyed watching on the team. My memory’s of O’Neal aren’t that great or he would likely be higher.

10-Thad Young: great your guy. He has been a wonderful pro. A casualty of the tank
9- Lou Williams: should have never traded him. I still enjoy watching the guy do his thing
8- Dana Barros: That’s right. He could score shoot the three and was literally the only player on those teams after Barkley left.
7- Iggy: Seems like forever ago but he could throw it down with the best of them. I miss his break away dunks
6- Aaron McKie: He was a sixth man of the year and a very underrated defender. Plus a local guy
5-Charles Barkley: The Round Mound was the only thing going on those Sixers teams in the early 90’s. Loved him as a Sixer, hated all the Phoenix Suns apparel that started popping up in 1994.
4- Ben Simmons: unique player who can do almost everything and still make you frustrated. He may be moving up my list before long
3- Joel Embiid: He is the heart and soul of this new Sixer team and does things every game that remind me how lucky the city is that he got healthy…knock on wood
2- Dr. J: I was still a Young kid when he retired but my dad went to his last home game and came back with a wall poster so he was my Idol.
1-Allen Iverson: One of the most exciting players to watch. He could weave through NYC traffic to score the ball. Unstoppable.

1. Kobe Bryant- considering I lived and died with basically every game he played for 20 years he has to be first.
2. Magic- the player that made me fall in love with the game. Unfortunately, I was too young to catch most of his career.
3. Derek Fisher- such an overachiever and so clutch. Not even close to the most talented but always reliable
4. Shaq- I honestly had kind of a love/ hate relationship with him on the lakers. Loved what he was able to do for the franchise but wished he would’ve worked harder and stayed in shape. Drama just seemed to follow the guy around. Actually wasn’t that sad to see him go when he got traded.
5. Nick Van Exel- The 95 lakers team might have been my favorite lakers team of all time and Van exel was my favorite player from that team. Not the most efficient or consistent player but he was fun to watch when he had it going.
6. Pau Gasol- perfect complimentary big to Kobe and exactly what we needed to get us back to the promised land.
7. James worthy- wish I saw him more in his prime. Only really caught the tail end of his career but still one of my favorite players.
8. Lamar odom- frustrated me especially early in his lakers tenure because I thought he could have been better, but as the team got more talented around him, he was actually perfect. A guy that you could plug into so many different positions on the court, but didn’t need to have a defined role.
9. Lebron James- I definitely anticipate him moving up this list. Love what he is doing for the franchise right now.
10. Robert horry- has to be on the list just because of the way he came through when needed. I have to admit he would frustrate me at times with his unwillingness and ineffectiveness shooting the ball in the regular season, but he always seemed to make the right play or big shot when it mattered.

Celtics: Def not a list of best players but who I personally revere the most
10. Walter McCarty – “I LOVE WALTER” – I grew up on Tommy Heinsohn shouting this every time Walter hit a corner 3. A proto stretch 4, he missed his era by 15 years but nonetheless was a great role player and believed Celtic.
9. Rajon Rondo – One of the most unique point guards to ever play in the NBA, for all his flaws, his playoff performances made up for everything.
8. Dennis Johnson – One of the great perimeter defenders in NBA history, he was so important to those 80’s Celtics teams. Nobody could get a strip at midcourt like DJ.
7. Dave Cowens – 6’9″ center who got the best of Young Kareem in the NBA Finals. Legend.
6. John Havlicek – The original NBA iron man, nobody had better endurance and longevity in NBA history among wing players until 21st century. 17 years of hard-nosed aggressive basketball
5. Kevin McHale – Prettiest post moves ever. His ’87 season is one of the great power forward seasons until he hurt his ankle which he still played through.
4. Kevin Garnett – ’08 changed everything for Boston and KG was the reason why. Instilled a defensive culture that the Celtics hadn’t had since Parish. KG is a maniac who left it all on the court.
3. Paul Pierce – The Truth, never the best player in the league but he could ball against anyone at anytime. His herky jerky moves are iconic.
2. Larry Bird – A basketball genius mind with perfect handeye coordination, Bird played like Jesus. Favorite highlight reel of any NBA player ever.
1. Bill Russell – 11 titles in 13 seasons, 2 NCAA Titles, 2 Olympic Gold Medals, 1 Title as a player coach. Nobody made their teammates better and nobody defines Winning like Bill Russell.

10. Mo Williams: 2nd best player on a great year in 2009.
9. Austin Carr: Never saw him play but his play by play is something else.
8. Andre Miller: Great passer and teammate.
7. Varejao: Great hustle guy and sixth man. The “Wild Thing”.
6. Delly: Another hustle guy who makes the most of his talent.
5. Kyrie: So much talent. No title without him. Made “the shot”. Didn’t end well.
4. Mark Price: Great teammate. One of the best shooters of all time. (prob top 10-20)
3. Zydrunas: Crowd favorite. Rough start with injuries then got healthy and was solid.
2. Kevin Love: Sacrificed stats to be a team player and third wheel. No title without him. Stuck around.
1. Lebron: I tried my best to not have him number 1 but come on…2nd best player ever, made Cleveland sports relevant from 2003 to 2018, brought a title to The Land, MVPs, came back after leaving, went to a parade because of him, puts the entire city of Akron through college, the list goes on and on.
