ilike.panochasParticipantIn the beginning of the season, I found this guy to be some what overrated. But now, he is projected by many as a late 1st round, and I think his versatility brings a ton of value that won’t show up in the box score. I’ve always liken his game to Boris Diaw, I hope he has more assertiveness than Diaw though. I think if a team can get this guy in the 20s, he will bring a lotof value. He’s a less heralded Terrence Jones to me.

butidonthavemoneyI’d actually draft him over Jones. Both are talented, but Harris strikes me as a player more receptive to coaching. He could play a Jeff Green-type of role as a talented forward off the bench for a good team. He’ll be a great value pick in the mid-late first round.

cward23ParticipantHe should go middle of the first round in this draft, maybe later but definitely a first rounder in this draft

BKKnicksfanParticipantI just wrote I wanted New York to draft him lol
I think he went to the wrong school as well. I think he needed to go somewhere as a main post player. Had he gone to a school like Washington or Virgina Tech or any school that needed a stretch guy, he’d be higher. Because Tennessee fell in stunning fashion, and quit on Bruce Pearl, his stock fell. I like him, I think he can be a really good combo forward in the league. Like a less athletic, more shooting verison of Thad Young.
I hope NYK takes him

sheltwon3ParticipantWhat role could he play for New York? They have Amare, Melo, and more likely Shawn Williams at the forward spots. Knicks could get a possibly starter at the 2, a future point or some more legit size with their pick.
I am looking for Knicks to maybe move up and grab a point that slips somehow or take Tyler who should come in ready to play defense and rebound for 10 to 15 minutes. He is young and could develop to be better than most of the lottery picks and he should fall to New York because he played overseas and his numbers and situation are not too exciting. That did not hurt Jennings though. I would not mind Knicks somehow trading their pick and Fields for Burks granted he does not go top 5. I like Fields but his upside seem limited and right now he is not playing well so before he stock drops because people realize he may be just a role player, I would move him. I kind of wish they move him instead of Chandler now.

ProudGrandpaParticipantlike a skinny guy with a mediocre shot and above-average potential.

BKKnicksfanParticipantHe can be the perfect backup to both Amare and Melo as a combo 3/4. I don’t think Williams is coming back, if the new head coach has his way.

kobyzParticipanthow much money has the Knicks to spend in the summer? they need to go in all power for Arron Afflalo, he will be great complementary peace to that Knicks team, and this is what the knicks management must to do in the offseason – to build balanced team around Amare and Melo who have amount of flaws in their games and also in leadership, so that would be tough job to do!

kobyzParticipantas for the draft, in there range it seems Tristan Thompson could be available, if that the case i think the Knicks should most definitely go after, he is exactly the type of character and player knicks need, a tough demeanor, competitive, hard worker player with great defensive ability who could compleate Amare well as a big!

cward23ParticipantWhats the difference between tristan thompson in college and Ronny in college?..i know Tristan has more upside because he’s younger and played better as a freshman than Ronny but they both bring the same thing, limited offense, athletic, shot blocking. Actually its more wishful thinking anyway because tristan is going lotto

JNixonParticipantI like that comparison No Money made to Jeff Green. I definitely see that comparison for Harris. He’s a combo forward who can face-up, pass, and make jump shots decently.

cward23Participant^^ thats a very good comparison. Green, Al harrington, tim thomas
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/24/2011 - 2:25pm #524845

kobyzParticipantthe difference is that Tristan Thompson is a lot better, much better rebounder, better man to man defender, smarter, unlike Turiaf a good finisher at the basket and just much more impressive and influential.

kobyzParticipantTobias Harris in style play like Jamal Mashburn, he isn’t good like him right now cause he’s very raw and work in progress, so right now i’ll say he is James Johnson clone.

OhCanada-ParticipantJames Johnson clone, thats an alot more realistic comparison then Jeff Green a very accomplished NBA player.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/25/2011 - 9:39am #525045

ilike.panochasParticipantNo offense but you compare alot of prospects to Raptor players I notice.
And James Johnson is a short stocky forward, while Tobias is a slender 6’8 combo forward with some playmaking ability.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipant"And James Johnson is a short stocky forward, while Tobias is a slender 6’8 combo forward with some playmaking ability."
That is cute. If you had seen James Johnson in the past year, nothing about him is in any way stocky. Tobias is slender? He is more than a few pancakes north of slender.

stepback3ParticipantIn time I think he will be similar to Danny Granger.

Dc773ParticipantWhat makes him that much more better than James Johnson? If you can answer that, you’ve convinced me. Otherwise, I think scouts are fairly accurate on their judgement about his game.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/26/2011 - 9:09am #525317

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI saw a scouting report on another site where Someone called him a shorter Carlos Boozer..
0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/26/2011 - 12:56pm #525384
mamadouParticipantHe’s especially the youngest player in the draft(considering bismack is 27 for real).
0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/26/2011 - 1:31pm #525393

OhCanada-Participant@Messeee
I wastnt the one to make that comparison actaully I was complementing someone…
