Title says it, Lonzo shooting around 41 % from 3 might not last, but atleast he can be effective off the ball. He’s also not a ball dominant PG, while Rondo is. IMO he’s already a better defender, has some of the quickest hands in the NBA. The suspension might have been a blessing IMO since we got to see early what he looks in the starting lineup next to Lebron. If Walton has a brain, Rondo comes of the bench and creates for the 2nd unit. I like Kuzma in the starting lineup too but I think Ingram will start though.

    thoughts ?

I don’t think his shooting will stay this hot but I’ve always been a big Lonzo fan and generally anti-Rondo. Many underestimate the impact of people who are willing to move the ball quickly, and Ball makes excellent decisions even if he isn’t trying to make plays on ball. He’s also a far superior defender and rebounder, which are key factors for a team that is playing as small as the Lakers. Rondo was always a strange fit with a team filled with people who want the ball in their hands, but he can still be useful in shooting heavy second units (free Svi?).

i say start ball. Rondo would do well with second unit. Ball is a quicker ball mover and just has far more upside in all phases. I also love kuzma and like to see him get 30 min a night and finish games, but i cant justify starting him over ingram yet. lets give ingram some more time to get it going. Kuz is an instant offense type who doesnt suffer from not starting.

Lonzo should be the starter. He has that unique ability of knowing players spots for them to succeed. With him the show last season, the Lakers lead nba in transition points.     Add how to use Lance to Walton’s things to do list. Lance will be hurt by the return of both Rondo & Ingram. Lance Spearheaded their comeback last night. He’s played since they’ve been out, spending time at Pg & Sf. Averaging 11pts/4assts/4rbs. His aggressiveness & ability to create in 2 point territory is incredible.

I personally think Kuzma is better than Ingram, but I don’t think being moved back to the bench will bother him. With Rondo though, will he become sour if he’s moved to the bench?

Rondo had to know he was likely going to be coming off the bench when he signed with the Lakers. If he was dead set on starting he should’ve signed elsewhere.

I don’t think Kuzma is a better player than Ingram. He’s been more Consistent than Ingram has been. That’s what Puzzles me about Ingram. Is he’s as good as he’s going to get? He can score in a variety of ways, defend when he wants, and run the team.

Let Lebron handle the ball.  Give Hart more time as the other guard.

     Lakers need a blend:

Develop some of their youth and win now for Lebron…Because if they don’t it won’t end well once Lebron retires…

So with that said I would maybe go with the following line up:

    Mcgee,Lebron,Ingram,Hart and Ball

    Bench: Wagner,Kuzma,Lance,KCP and Rondo

You then switch Kuzma and Hart to Bench moving Kuzma to PF and Ingram to SG giving both Youth and  win now mode…

Ball also makes them look alot better on the court IMO.
