i just read this on another site. They look just like normal shoes but the nba says they give too much of an unfair advatange.

yeah apparently it has a spring loaded system in the sole that gives you a bounce.
how soon til they ban them at the ymca 8 ft rim league for 5-7 yr olds?

The idea that a shoe can increase your vertical is a little off base…Becuz most dunkers use their calves and thigh muscles…There are some shoes that can give you that extra bounce…..
I’ve worn shoes that can make your feet feel so comfortable that it makes you more active…But until i see Earl Boykins doing a 360 dunk wearing a pair then i’ll believe it..How fair an advantage can it be when the nba already has the world’s best athletes,that can dunk on 12 feet rims? I’ve worn shoes that can make your feet feel like you’re not wearing shoes.

Interesting, I wonder what the science is behind them. Oh well, I think they should let John Bryant wear them next year, I don’t think going from 8” to 10 or 11” is an unfair advantage.

It was only until they were banned that it was revealed the "Load N Launch" system they created was just using springs in the shoe, no mention of the word spring on their site in the initial release.
Yes, they do work, but the use of a mechanical device to boost performance beyond normal levels feels like cheating to me. The difference between extremely light shoes and this is that extremely light shoes will at best, make you feel like you’re playing barefoot, whereas these shoes use mechanical aids to get you beyond your normal limitations.
Screw APL, this company won’t last and I hope they stay banned from pro leagues.
Kinda curious to see what the NCAA does in regards to this shoe.

my nephew had an old chain that had turned rusty…and he spray painted it with Krylon silver spray paint..And hung it from the dashboard on his car just for decoration..and some kids saw it and were always asking to buy it..They thought it was real Platinum..he sold it to some guy that co-owned a restaurant with his dad for 1 thousand dollars…
