McDunkinWho are they
Mount Holyoke is a D3 women’s college playing in the NEWMAC conference. One of the original 7 sisters schools, MHC was founded by Mary Lyon in 1837, which led to their team name, The Mount Holyoke Lyons. Their mascot is a Lion named Paws who has a mane, so it is clearly not a Lioness. This has led to the loving nickname of Paws the transgender Lion from students.
The stats
full stats can be found here

The Lyons went 0-24 overall this year
31.5 ppg (26 in conference)
25.7 fg%
55.8% free throws
27.3 Turnovers Per Game
78.5 Opponents ppg (82.1 in conference)
Notable Losses
40-52 Loss to Bryn Mawr: This was Bryn Mawr’s only win of the season
19-68 Loss to Wellesley: Wellesley was 6-10 in Conference Play, with one of those other wins being a 79-18 win over MHC
27-88 Loss to Smith: Smith’s highest point total of the season
22-103 Loss to Babson: Babson also scored 50 points in an OT win against MIT during the season
15-75 Loss to MIT
Conclusion
I’m not trying to be mean to MHC here, most, if not all of the women on the team are not recruited, and athletics is not a primary focus at the school. But I really want to know if there was a worse team in the country this year because I’m gonna say no.

barbabodomParticipantWell, three of their four top scorers are either Soph or Fresh, so there’s a reason to be optimistic!

CynthiaParticipantI looked up all of their athletics, they play 13 sports in total. At least they’re decent at Field Hockey, this was their only positive record which was 12-6. They had a few horse riding wins but for the most part was middle of the pack.
Basketball was definitely their worst but they had other sports with a sub 20% win rate. I like how they have a "Recruit Me" button at the top where you can fill out an application to join one of their athletic teams. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a college that allows you to recruit yourself…

cargathusParticipantA lot of lesser known D3 schools have "recruit" me sections of their website. My undergrad was in the same conference (men’s division) and our squad made the NCAA several times during my years there, even elite 8 once…and we still had a recruit me button lol. But at the end of the day…D3…..
