Think about it. Were all talking about a potential Laker-Heat Finals.

What if Kobe wins? He would arguably have won 2 titles against the new generation’s superstars ( Wade, James, Howard). Also, He would have defeated a “super-team” in Miami and most likely as a underdog. This could be the one championship that Kobe could hold over Jordan’s potential head. Kobe’s 6th title could be his biggest.

    What do you think?

should be interesting.. I dont know if ill ever put kobe in same sentence as Jordan, but hes already entrenched in my eyes as 2nd best ever… Jordan played in a different era, where hand checking was allowed, and the game was much more physical in his day, but this is no knock on kobe… He is the best the nba has to offer.

You act like the Lakers have a terrible team surrounding Kobe. They are the two time reigning champs, there’s no way they can be the underdog.

Lakers have 2 be considered the underdog……..miami has 3 superstars and a bunch of other players willing to join for cheap. If kobe does meet miami in the finals, it will be nicee to see him win. How does 2 straight years defeated 2 different big 3’s

Why is it that everyone is stuck on these two guys as the best ever? I mean i think they are both GREAT, and top 5-10 of all time. But in reality everyone forgets about anyone before Jordan.

If all you know is stats, and you never really got to see tape of a player, and see how that player took over a game, or a playoff series, then how can you really compare?

Oscar Robertson did something No One will ever do again. Mainly because of how the game is played, and because now there is a 3 point line.

Oscar Robertson was a great in my eyes. I always feel he’s the 2nd greatest guard ever. I wish I got the chance to see him play live. He had alot of bad luck in his career. He lost Maurice Stokes and Jerry Lucas ( I believe).

He is not a top 5 all time great because he never won a title as the MAN. He needed Kareem to win a title. Also, not to mention- He did those triple double seasons type numbers in a weak guard league.

    MJ, Magic, Kobe, Bird, LBJ.
The game was different back in the day and the competition wasn’t consistent on a nightly basis. O-Rob is def top 10 same as Bill Russel, Duncan, Hakeem, Karl Malone.

    1st team
    PG- Magic
    SG- MJ
    SF- Bird
    PF- Duncan
    C- Hakeem
    2nd team
    PG- O-Rob
    SG- Kobe
    SF- LBJ
    PF- Malone
    C- Russel

Malone never won a ring even with a great supportin cast cause he played in the MJ, Pippen era. I feel sorry for some of the great ringless young players in the league now cause they’ll never win a ring in the LBJ, Wade era. Guys like Carmelo, Paul, Amare. Rings usually define greatness but there is only one winner at the end of every season.

On a side not I’m sure all of us made the dream team with Miami on 2K or Live and even without a supporting cast the team wins 60 games. Ya its a video simulation but still the same Laker team still wins games. So there is some authenticy to game simulation. In 3 seasons my Miami team won the title twice against the Lakers and lost 1 game per series in the 2 winning seasons.. The differential was a staggering +16 as my team lead the league in scoring and held our opp. to lowest ppg. in the playoffs. 99ppg – 83ppg. This is with Joel Anthony at the C and Mario Chalmers at the PG. 6-Haslem 7-Head the rest were minimum guys.
