fliptonnParticipantI could see them drafting Waiters. I think they should look for a shooter (I like Lamb for them) but apparently they want a guy who can create his own shot. Waiters is a guy who can produce off the dribble and is climbing on a lot of mocks. There’s also been reports about them shopping the pick maybe for iguodala or granger, not sure if the 76ers or Pacers would do it though.

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantDeMar Derozan needs to be the starting small forward for the Toronto Raptors. The only shooting guard that is for sure to be gone at the point is Bradley Beal. Jeremy Lamb, Terrence Ross, and Austin Rivers should all be available. Rivers would be my last option, I think he and Bayless are close to the same type of players. If the Raptors can get Jeremy Lamb or Terrence Ross, it would be perfect. Why? Because they can actually shoot! Something Derozan may never be able to do. Derozan is a a freak athlete, he came in the league at 6’7, 211. So he has good size and he may have grown, He could be a Rudy Gay type player( Rudy before the jumper that is). So they can upgrade their sf position from in house, update their 2 guard position at the draft. Jonas Valanciunas is coming over. So you have Jonas, at the Center, Bargnani, Ed Davis, and Amir Johnson at the 4. Derozan, James Johnson and Linas Kleiza at the 3, Terrence Ross or Jeremy Lamb at the 2, and Bayless and Calderon at the 1, that’s the making of a good team, especially if Jonas and this years draft pick work out..
Toronto draft a shooting guard.

HotSnotParticipantAgreed. Tor should stop trying to make Derozan a primary scorer/SG and finally admit that he’s an average SF in the mold of Trevor Ariza.
I’d love to see Tor take Lamb to fill the SG role or Perry Jones to play him at the SF spot (a position he’s much more comfortable playing)… then look for a SG in free agency with their cap room.
A front court of Perry Jones, Bargs and Jonas seems pretty serviceable.

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantI wouldn’t take Granger or Igoudala, think they’re both bad moves, Iggy doesn’t fit with Calderon, and Granger just doesn’t have it, good player but not great and he never will be, and Bayless can create his own shot in the mold of a Westbrook or Rose if they allow him. But Waiters may really be good, and he may just be a good 6th man. I think Lamb if he turns out correctly could change them a ton. Lamb is the best choice.

boshjonesfordParticipantHonestly as a raptors fan, derozan is frustrating, he has the skills of a SF and the body of a SG = making him a crappy SG….i want lamb then move derozan to the 3 and if he doesnt pan out just dont resign him.

TRC1991ParticipantJeremy Lamb is the makes-sense pick but Toronto will do something weird, I can already sense it

sheltwon3ParticipantWaiters and Moultree could move up in the draft. I have that weird feeling about those two

johnallinghamParticipantI’d like to see them take Lamb,PJ3,Waiters in that order but if any of the projected top 6 drop then take them no matter the position. Trading the 8th pick for Houston’s 14,16 picks makes sense if Houston will do it. I’d be pissed if they took Lillard, would be quite happy with Sully, although Raps frontcourt is pretty full.

DeShawns PotentialParticipantThey’ll probably take SG Evan Fournier

GrandmamaParticipantI’ve got them taking Lamb, ideal fit.

HayatoKanzaki1ParticipantJeremy Lamb is a Raptor. He’s got size, scoring ability and all around game. Hes a good fit to that team. If the raptors choose otherwise, then I will facepalm.

Toronto16ParticipantForget that, I want Perry Jones. He has way more of an upside than Lamb, and his jumper is decent.
