Stojakovicfor3ParticipantThey give Darko Milicic 4 years and 20 million. He does not deserve 5 million a year. What did he even do for them last year. They could have went after Brendan Haywood for similar numbers and Haywood is 10 times better than Milicic. They also signed Nikola Pekovic to a 3 year $13 million deal, which I am fine with.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantEh, Darko and Pekovic will be the 2nd and 3rd Bigs with Al Jefferson most likely Traded.

The SquirrelyqParticipantWell, according to ESPN he averaged 11 and 5 in Minnesota, which isn’t bad, if memory serves he also averaged around 1.5 blocks per game as well. They lack a true center atm and it makes no sense to play Jefferson and Love on the court at the same time as they are both too similar. Signing Darko and Pekovic gives them depth at the center position and the two can compete for the starting job. Maybe I’m crazy, but I think that Darko can put up decent numbers in the right situation

kanebangerParticipanthe averaged 8.3 pts and 5.3 rb and 1.4 blocks in 25 minutes that has good bench player written all over it

RUDEBOY_ParticipantExpect David Kahn to be relieved of his duties in about 2 years or maybe even earlier..Someone asked him if he had to name Minnesota’s best player..He said he could’nt name 1 becuz they didnt have 1..
A few weeks ago Rick Kamla said on air..That he heard during a meeting of the T-Wolves brass that Darko was the only player that was worth starting!!0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 7:16am #344792
willie wise fanParticipanthe had a few good games of about 15 and 10 worth 20 million though absolutely not

NYK2010ParticipantDarko for 2 years and 7-8 mill total would’ve been plenty.
Kahn is an idiot0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 7:21am #344800

sheltwon3ParticipantMinny may do stupid moves but signing Darko longtime at 5 million a year and giving him the starting spot and a coach to his confidence up may turn out to be a great move. Darko is great defensively and if Minny give him touches on the offense like Orlando did that one year, it should keep him happy and he may put up 14 pt 11 rb 2 blks and 2 assists. In the triangle he may be their best passer behind Sessions.

ajk004ParticipantHe was really pretty good last year compared to what was expected. He and Rambis get along nicely and Darko was a really good passer (much better than Black Hole Jefferson). Wolves added outside shooting with Wes Johnson and Martel Webster they will be quite a bit better. No playoffs, but much better than 15 wins. Expect to see Jefferson moved off the roster before Oct. Also expect to see Darko with the ball in the high post helping to run the triangle in half court schemes with Love rebounding on the weak side. Wolves now have a roster without a star (again Jefferson to be moved), but young reasonably priced Love, Darko, Pekovic, Webster, Brewer, Wes Johnson, Flynn and Sessions as the core and Al Jefferson’s $13 million contract and $5 million in capspace to work with from there. All these guys are young averaging about 23-24 years old.

joecheck88Participanti like darko but not that much but darko may have said i need this contract or im going overseas. and if david kahn liked him that much, which apparently he does, he would sign him. it was win win for darko, pay me and ill stay or dont and ill leave to europe. i dont thin darko is ever going to be a double double guys but i can see 12 and 7 from him.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantand that Mad man Kaun is driving that train off the tracks….It’s like he’s trying to make Donnie Walsh look smarter by being the biggest dumbass in the NBA…So 20/10 Big Al not worth keeping at the 12 to 14 million price tag but….Pekovic and Darko are worth 33 million over the next 3 years..They’ll be paying 11 million a year over the next 3 years for two backup bigs…What has Pekovic ever done to help warrant that money…they better hope he plays hard as hell and duplicates what Marc Gasol did in Memphis…Cause these two signings are nothing more than Rubio bait….like seriously…Trade Flynn to New York for Gallanari and get rid of Jefferson, Wes, Brewer, Ellington, Sessions and Webster….Build your euro team and try your damnedest to bring over Rubio….All they should have in the end Love, Darko, Pekovic and Gallo…with Rubio and some other euro’s to fill the squad…That’s what Kaun seems like he wants…Trade Jefferson to the Spurs for Manu…give them Brewer to sell the deal….Maybe you pry Splinter away with a future pick or Ellington…Then you have a Starting 5 of Rubio,Manu, Gallo, Love and Darko…Pekovic and Splitter on the bench and you trade Wes,Sessons and Webster for Marco Bellinelli and Andreas Bargnani…
Then Kaun would have completly destroyed his team and become the Euro T’Wolves….
Rubio/Koppenen…some how some way the Blazers start dumping those euro’s on somebody
Manu/Marco…Manu and Marco combo at 2 G….
Gallo/Bargnani…Turk somehow and someway included in the Toronto deal..and Knicks fans…Gallo was rated a 54 on NBA2k10…he’s not untouchable…and don’t you love Flynn???
Love/Splitter…Are Manu and Tiago worth Big Al and Bruce Bowen 2.0???
Darko/Pekovic…get your money’s worth….0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 7:48am #344810

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantHe is a con man who keeps getting teams to give him more money. He has skills and talent, but doesn’t want to work. Love and Jefferson are on their way out of Minny, I don’t think they are done turning over the roster.

cstyle96Participanthold up. The timberwolves are doing smart moves they are getting players that’s can fit and work well in the triangle offense and that play defense. Kevin love plays no defense. So yeah we gonna cash out nekio and darko because nekio is a dominat post player and darko plays defense and he got way better passing then al jefferson. So expect us to trade al jefferson for a draft pick or a sign and trade for rudy gay. That’s it. .
so my team will kinda look like this and I on paper it looks better then the knicks will ever be. Lol
1. Johnny flynn (* rick rubio 2011)
r2. West johnson
3. Rudy gay
4. Kevin love
5.darko milicbench:
johnny flynn (2011)
corey brewer
nekio palvoic

GalamothParticipantHe got overpayed but the fact remains that it was probably the ONLY way they could get him to stay. While he is not the greatest center, he does provide defense in the paint which is what the Wolves desperately need from of one of their interior players.
Now if they could only manage to trade away Love or Jefferson and make that into a scoring wing, they might make it to the teens in the lottery.

sheltwon3Participanthow is 5 million for a big man overpaid. A starting big man is overpaid at 5 million. Please people let’s not look at this from your feeling about Darko. 5 million for a starting big man is cheap.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI think they could end up moving both. Why else would they invite David Lee to town when they basically just spent their cap room on Pekovic and Darko? If the Knicks whiff on LeBron and JJ stays in Atlanta, then the Knicks are in big trouble. They can overpay Amare, but that cannot be the rest of their summer. They would have to work a sign-and-trade for Lee, and Minnesota makes sense because they have a point guard who they don’t need (Sessions), a power forward they can’t get to guard a dead man and doesn’t know how to operate in the triangle (Love), and an extra contract to make money work (Webster/Brewer/Hollins and Ellington). The market for Jefferson will also heat up once the dominoes start to fall. Dallas would be interesting as would OKC, and they should be able to get a good young shooting guard in return.

sheltwon3Participanti could see Session and big Al in New York but Minny would have to take Eddy Curry contract though

IndianaBasketballParticipantI guess the report I heard on NBATV about David Kahn considering Darko the ONLY starting caliber player on the T-Wolves was true.
Either Kahn is a genius or he’s a huge idiot. Even IF he is a genius and has some sort of master plan, he won’t be around long enough to see it come into fruition.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantof the team not being starting Caliber players…Then some body needs to revolt…the players or front office…Johnny Flynn would start in NY in D’Antoni’s system…and Wes would start in Toronto next to Derozen…Make it happen Kaun…Flynn for Gallo …Wesley,Webster,Sessions and Love for Bargnani, Bellinelli and Turk’s huge deal…Then end it with Al Jefferson and Corey Brewer for Manu and Tiago Splitter

blink3ebfanParticipantIt seems like what he is doing in Minnesota is similar to what Boston did. They acquired a lot of assets and finally made trades that put them over the top. Darko is a solid big, obviously he is a bust as the number 2 pick, but 5 million per year for a solid big is good value. People tend to hate on Kahn but I sort of like what he is doing. People killed Danny Ainge for what was happening to the Celts but once his plan came to fruition he was considered a genius. Give Kahn some time, he has a lot of solid and some spectacular pieces, no real bad contracts and foreign assets. This team has the potential to make some big moves down the road.

cstyle96Participanteverybody the wolves are starting with a young sore of players. the age of the team is 20-25. so we aint gonna make a sign for a veteran starter. look for us to find good role player. like josh childress ; , coming off the bench. and thaats about it cAUSE we got wayne ellignton @ the 2. and if we get a SG its going to mess up his growth (potiental) with the team. then at the PG we got ramon session and we gonna use him for like one more year till rubio comes over from spain dont expect ricky rubio to be sitting on the bench. he is gonna start the first day he comes. BUDDY! but, johnny is gonna get good fair of minutes cause johnny is gonna be are fastbreak guy he can run the floor and has great athletism. him and childress will be a great pair coming off then bench. PF position i just gotta say AL JEFFERSON is finally gonna leave the CITY, ever since we got him in the KG trade to boston i just knew we F^ . LIKE FORREAL . i think the celtics was just cursed when they got him AND WE JUST PICKED IT FROM THEM. so expect us to trade al jefferson for david lee or zach randolf. Kevin love will be a good fit with johnny flynn and josh childress off the bench with nekio polvoic. so kevin might play the 5 SPOT. but he has to gain some more weight and work on his low post defense. The 5th spot idk what too say. i feel we paid darko alittle bit to much but i guess thats what we gotta do to get a player that wants to play for the team and wants to win SiKe!!!!! its watever he still young expect him to still grow . so u never know he might turn some heads next season. JUST HOPE 4 THE BEST OF HIM.
