Dragic better defender at the PG position than Nash. Their ball movement is crisp. They’re not plagued by TOs. They added some new players playing substantial minutes, Beasley, Wes the rookies. But it seems the players know where to go and what to do.

Unlike the Lakers. It seems kobi’s poor BB IQ has infected the whole team.

The Suns out playing the Lakers in the Pre-season is really irelavent. If you are insinuating that the sun are a better team i have to strongly disagree. The Lakers are without a doubt a significantly better team than the Suns.

Also since when has Kobe had a poor BB IQ? Yes he takes bad shots at times but hes always been known as 1 of the smarter players in the league. I think that now for the 1st time in his career hes actually playing with a PG who can create for himself and others in Nash and has a big that won’t disapear for large stretches of games i think he will be more willing to share the basketball.

Did he just call Kobe "kobi" and say he has bad basketball IQ? Man, I know they haven’t played well this preseason but Kobe is still Kobe and has probably the highest basketball IQ in the entire league.

    LOL @ "Kobi".

Seriously though, I can kinda see it (as I prepare to get negged to infinity).  Kobe is possibly the most skilled player in the league and his understanding of the game is top notch, however, what he does with this understanding and skill set is sometimes debateable.  In basketball there isn’t always a single "right" answer for a given play.  There can be many options which lead to a successful result.  I feel Kobe doesn’t always choose the prudent option.  Shot selection, passing (or not), blaming teammates on D, being a bad teammate on occasion, over-confidence.

Its very subjective though.  If you have 10 people watch a car accident and then ask them what happened.  Your more then likely to get 10 different responses.

In basketball, watching a play develop at any given moment of any game, pause the action and ask those 10 players what happens next?  Its doubtful you’ll get similar answers.  Even though Kobe knows exactly where everyone is on the court and where they’re supposed to go next, I feel he doesn’t always do the right thing.

For all you Kobe lovers out there, lets put it this way…  If Kobe is a "savant" of basketball, but he’s playing on a court with 5 average IQ ball players and 4 short bus players, does it make sense to expect savant level play from the rest of the court?  Kobe’s problem is he treats everyone else like they’re "short bus" players… which can make his decisions difficult to understand at times… but atleast he’s not Melo.
