+ situations: They have a great player/Great coach & Deep pocket owner & roughly 40-57mill in cap room.

    – situation: Is this the New Dirk or was he just out of shape, 34 mill owed to BHay(although they could amnesty him). No 2nd option behind Dirk

here’s a list of UR & Restriced fa’s that Dallas should consider

    1. DWill. UR  Get him if you can, hes a max level player and the lure of playing for an owner who is willing to spend for Chip is huge.

    2. OJ. Mayo   RFA. Will Grizz keep him if some teaam offers him a front-loaded contract. I think he still has 3rd option potential for a Chip team

3 GWallace. UR. Very consistent player who could guard 1-4 position just like Matrix albeit with more scoring punch. $$ probally a 4yr=45 mill deal for him

4.Javale & Pam McGee. RFA & Retired All-American. It seems Dirk does well with an athletic Center, & it would be great to have a player similiar to the Last C the Mavs had when they won in 2011. $$$ i thik they can get him for 4-5yr=55mill.

Or they could just give Max $$$ to DWill and trade for DHow, Regardless the Mavs are in great position. Awesome job by Cuban to let the trio of 30 yr old players go after the Chip last year. Now this summer they have $$$$ to spend.

Pray Deron Williams comes and that he convinces Dwight to come with him.

Granted his career will likely last longer being a shooter, the team still has to make some magic happen soon. Dirk is turing 34 years old by next year.

When the Mavs got the title last year, anything afterwards was a bonus. They will be smarting after losing 4-0 and surely should have won at least one or two games in the series.

A lot depends which way they decide to go, do they maybe try for one more run or hope major stars will come and convince them Dirk can still be a major player. As said above Dirk is nearly 34 years old now so how many years would he be a major running mate for I wonder. A franchise signing lets say D-Will would be looking at the next 2 to 3 years and would other support.

With the team options on Odom and Carter, Dallas have $11 million available to be traded right away, so Donnie Nelson could use that and his two smaller team options in Wright and Azubuike to probably trade for a player in the $13 to $15 million a year price range and land a decent FA alongside him.

Crash would be a good signing and would not cost the earth and the PG situation needs to be sorted out once Jason Kidd decides what he wants to do.

Dallas will be smarting now but their future does not look too bad, they have a top coach, good front office and an owner who will spend if required.

The thing is,if we don’t get Dwill ,I am afraid w are gonna Over pay players (and if we tried to sign any RFA ,we will have to)
Don’t want to make the mistake Pistons did in 2009

Deron is option 1, but this team has to have earned more trust than that Pistons club.  Dallas has been in contention for nearly a decade now.  If not Deron, they might be best off going near max at Gordon and grabbing a decent 5 (Asik), then bringing Kidd back, since he’s become so good at covering 2s. Asik, Dirk, Marion, Gordon, Kidd seems like it would be hell on defense and has more than enough punch to cover for Omer offensively.

With all those veteran FA’s around they could get a PG if Kidd didn’t come back and the likes of Camby. KG etc are also available so they could assemble a veteran squad for one year and if it doesn’t work they will have cap room for 2013 or a load of dealable expiring deals.
