Ok lets now convert this thread into the Michigan-Indiana game thread. Right now Michigan is up 33-30. They got down early, but have been on a roll since.

Pappas is like cross between Udrih and Bonzi Wells, but better than both.

bonzi wells??? noooooooooooooooooooo! bonzi was a wing and he was very defensive minded. maybe you mean bubba wells? haven’t seen much of pappas, but from the highlights i was thinking more like maybe a joseph forte style of play. i can see the style of udrih, but bonzi wells, really? can’t say if he’s better or worse than anybody because i haven’t seen much of him other than highlights. what is pappas ceiling?

      euroleague star scorer

NBA not in his reach. he had tough time guarding players on Nike hoop summit and was even worse handling ball against american kids, him and other guards. World team bigs at that summit were forced handle ball alot

maybe he isn’t an nba player. i really don’t know. haven’t seen him. but i don’t think jimmer has the best defense or handles either and he was a high draft pick.

i guess i’m not allowed to have a civil conversation on here with euroballer without being negged for it. what a shame. oh well, at least one goal of mine was accomplished. he never called anyone names on this thread like racist, etc. it is sad to see more hate out there, but i can’t solve everything. people like rewarding the ones that kick people on the ground i guess.

How are those players selected? Like why are the Nigerian brothers playing in the senior All-Star game if they play in the 2nd division?

Also, Air Georgia is an All-Star in the Greek league?
Either he’s come light yrs since Michigan or that league sucks. All he could do was jump.

How do you think? It’s an all star game. They are selected same way as any other all star game. By online internet voting.

For example, there was even an online drive campaign this year for Memphis Tigers fans to vote in Jeremy Hunt and Will Coleman to the game.

That’s strange to me. When I think of All-Star games, I think of the best of the league, not the best of the league plus some kids from the lesser league.

Greek all star game can include players from first and second division. You have to understand this isn’t like NBA and US sports. It’s promotion and relegation system. Second division is full professional league also. It’s just the lower half of the relegation system.

But players and teams in second division are fully professional teams. So players from second division can also qualify.

For example, Nikos Gikas plays also in 2nd division and got voted. He is in the same team as the brothers. I also made a thread bout him here. Very talented young point guard.

      Vasileios Kavvadas also got voted.

pohani has never seen Pappas play. He is making up stuff as usual. When I mentioned Pappas here last year he made a whole long post about how I was trolling here because he had never heard of Pappas and “no one in Europe has ever heard of him” and how “he had never seen him play or even heard of him”.

I saw him in Zadar (Croatia) U20 championship), Nike hoop summit, New Zeland U-19, and this season 1 game in eurocup

no, he is not NBA prospect. that’s my opinion, you like it or not.. You have evrey right to think difrent….if you can’t handle my opinion then go see doctor. He could not handle nike hoop summit defense handling ball, and was blown by american guards there. It’s fact

I like him as prospect, he has great ofensive talent. Bit willd game and depends on havin gball alot, but should be some kind Spanoulis combo guard, but bit more SG then PG type of player. His game don’t translate to NBA

but yeah, even Greek players have weakneses. They are not perfect like you describe them. They are humans like all players around world.

I can name dozens of NBA players that are much worse than Pappas is. I am starting to believe you have either never seen an NBA game or that you have never seen a European game, or both.

Alex Jensen that played ball at Utah and Jake Shooff who played at Byu are regulars. Matt who got kicked off our high school team for Marijuana use can still show them up. He had a monster dunk over Jensen a few weeks back, that mad these greek slam dunk contest look silly.
