Made an outrageous title just to grab attention.

Kobe bryant’s shot statistic from the start up to 3rd quarter (5 min remaining). Yes you read it right, 3rd quarter not the first min of the game

I checked 3 minutes into the third, and I was about to pass out when I saw those double goose eggs in the box score, meaning he hadn’t attempted a single shot. I looked 6 minutes later, he’s 0-3 and the Laker have blown a 10 point lead.

Kobe purposely didn’t shoot the ball in the 1st half. Like he was forcing passing the ball and he was sloppy.

I just don’t get what he’s trying to do or prove.

It’s like he’s going through a mid-life crisis or something, really weird.

He is doing this on purpose for some reason. I wonder what it could be. The only person that can stop Kobe from scoring is Kobe.

Wow people are amazing because if Kobe score they complain and if he doesn’t score they complain. I think people need to deal with the fact that they just hate Kobe for no reason.

I think long term this kind of games helps Lakers. I doubt Kobe plays like this in their next game.

Nope they complain when Kobe takes 25-30 shots a game on a team with Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard. And they complain when Kobe takes 0 shots in the first half like he did last night. It doesn’t have to be one of the other, there is such a thing as a happy medium…

And anyway nobody on this thread is really complaining, it’s just something very rare to see from one of the greatest scorers in NBA history.

the real question is can the lakers make it to the playoffs?

and i think kobe was just basically resting so he could play good against the clippers next game as we all know how much the lakers hate the clippers and kobe is also probably annoyed that the clippers are doing so much better than his lakers this season.

He found out Dwight Howard traded for him in the Lakers fantasy basketball league and he was matched against Kobe’s team this week. #the Kobe system, winning at winning at winning

    @sheltwon3

I love Kobe. He’s my favorite player since Michael Jordan.

However, last night he wasn’t shooting purposely. Like he had it set in his mind that he wasn’t going to shoot this game. He was forcing passes and it literally almost cost his team. He was sloppy and had like 7 turnovers. I’m not saying he was doing it with a bad attitude or with some sort of agenda… He seemed happy to pass and he was more than happy with the win.

However, that’s just not his game. Kobe normally could give a F less about what ppl say, so I’m wondering if he’s starting to let criticism about him shooting affect his play.

i saw part of last nights game. Kobe was forcing dumb passes to the point he was sloppy. He has a few games in the past where he went all pass mode and it was obvious that he was upset and tryign to prove a point to everyone criticizing him. BUt that didnt seem to the be the case last night. He just had the mindset of let the other guys do their thing. I dont know what was up. He was laughing at times like he wasnt taking the game seriosuly. I know he wants to see dwight get more involved and the team has been playing better with him passing so i think he realizes he has to swallow some pride in order to make a the playoffs. But last night was just silly.

Even on the shots he did take, they weren’t even close.

It crossed my mind that he could be injured. I saw him bang his hand/finger or something up during the Miami game and he hurt it again tonight trying to strip someone.

    Who knows though with Kobe.

I have no idea what Kobe was doin… non whatsoever. It looked like he was sending a sarcastic message like “You think I shoot to much? Ok we’ll have it your way, I wont shoot a thing tonight.” The ironic thing is…. THEY WON.
I know it was against the Suns who are not a good team, but the Lakers arent either at this point, plus the Suns beat LA a couple weeks ago.
Five Lakers scored in double figures. Dwight had a huge game with 19pts and 18rebs. Kobe has to figure it out and get these guys involved while getting his in the midst. They all want their shot attempts. He has to know that if he’s willing to give them the ball, they’re willing to sell out for him on and get a W.
