    Chicago!

I may be biased, but if you put together a team of NBA players from any city, I think Chicago would be tough to beat…and there’s more on the way with Anthony Davis and Jabari Parker.

D-Wade, D-Rose, Iman Shumpert, Evan Turner, Javale McGee, Tony Allen, Corey Maggette, Will Bynum, Shannon Brown

    Washington DC/ Maryland

    C. Roy Hibbert

    Pf. Carmelo Anthony

    Sf. Kevin Durant

    SG. Rudy Gay

    PG. Ty Lawson

With six men like Beasly, Delonte West, and Jarred Jack. This team wins all day every day. Some great SF come from DC

It’s gotta be between the Chicago area, DC/Maryland area, L.A. area, and maybe the New York area.

Baron, Jennings, DeRozan, Nick Young, Ariza, Tayshaun, Tyson Chandler, Amir Johnson, Harden, Derrick Williams, Westbrook, Collison, Dorrell Wright, Casper Ware + more I’m probably forgetting at the moment.

Gotta give love to Chicago & Seattle too.

    L.A. area

    C:  Tyson Chandler
    PF:  Tayshaun Prince
    SF:  DeMar DeRozan
    SG:  Arron Afflalo
    PG:  Brandon Jennings

    That’s just Compton alone.

    Paul Pierce – Inglewood
    James Harden – Lakewood
    Dorrell Wright – Lawndale
    Russell Westbrook – Lawndale
    Andre Miller – Los Angeles
    Trevor Ariza – Los Angeles
    Jrue Holiday – Hollywood
    Darren Collison – Rancho Cucamonga
    Nick Young – Reseda
    Gilbert Arenas – Van Nuys
    Jordan Farmar – Woodland Hills

So an L.A. area line-up would probably look like this:

    C:  Tyson Chandler
    PF:  Tayshaun Prince
    SF:  Paul Pierce
    SG:  James Harden
    PG:  Russell Westbrook

Tough to beat, especially with DeRozan, Afflalo, Jennings, Ariza, Holiday, and Young off the bench.

I didn’t forget about KG. I don’t count him since he was only in Chicago for one year. That’s like saying Carmelo is from Oak Hill.

I also didn’t include Eddy Curry since he is no longer a useful NBA player.

That LA squad looks pretty tough.

    Maniac,

    You forgot about Eddy Curry.

Team Chi Town has a HOF backcourt with D Rose and D Wade, two great defensive/glue guys on the wing in Tony Allen (didn’t know he was from Chicago. interesting) and Shumpert, a do-everything wing in Evan Turner and two headcases inside in Curry and Javale McGee.  Corey Maggette is a good scorer off the bench who might have to play the power forward spot, but this team is loaded.  Will Bynum provides solid depth at the 1 with Shannon Brown being a great dunker who can play the 1 or 2.

It’s not a very balanced team but it has two studs at starting guard, several really good wing players and a shot blocking beast inside.

That’s a hard team to beat, especially if they went small.

    Starters:

    PG: Derrick Rose

    SG: Dywane Wade

    SF: Evan Turner

    PF: Corey Maggette

    C: Javale McGee

    Bench:

    PG: Will Bynum

    SG: Tony Allen

    SG: Shannon Brown

    SF: Iman Shumpert

    C:  Eddy Curry

Nobody has the history of producing great basketball talent like New York City. However over the last ten years or so I would put Chicago and Balitmore as the two best cities.

Feel like Dallas deserves a shout out as well. Elite players like Deron Williams, Chris Bosh, LaMarcus Aldridge and other guys like CJ Miles, Anthony Randolph, and Darrell Arthur. They have tons of up and coming young HS talent coming out of that Dallas/Ft Worth area too.

Cleveland/Northeast Ohio doesn’t even haev enough to play five-on-five, but we would have a three-on-three team that would be hilarious to watch:

    Earl Boykins
    LeBron James
    Kosta Koufos

Off the top of the head everyone has to think New York.I mean thats the home of the hoopers and legendary street ball guys who had been known to give the business to a few NBA players. But over here in New York we have a lot of talent that drops out of school.Gets caught up in the big city lifestyle and ends up going no where with their talents. So New York is just drifting further away from the top. I would say LA has passes us,Chi town has passed us.Maybe even the DMV area. And over the bridge in New jersey some ballers are being made. Anyone ever heard about Kyrie irving and Micheal kidd-Gilchrist. New york had it before but we no longer had it.I say the crown is between LA or chicago. Watch out for some sourthen states though as well.Them kids can run and jump like no other, their skills just take longer to catch up.

Detroit/Michigan has had lots of talent play/played in the NBA:

    Chris Webber

    Jalen Rose

    Spencer Haywood

    Derrick Coleman

    Jordan Crawford

    Manny Harris

    Willie Green

    Howard Eisley

    BJ Armstrong

    Chris Douglas Roberts

    Al Horford

    George Gervin

    Darvin Ham

    Magic Johnson

    Chris Kaman

    Terry Mills

    Glen Rice

    Dan Marjle

    Jason Richardson

    Mateen Cleaves

Then you have guys who are super talented who are just lazy and never want to do anything with their talent thats from Detroit like this:

Sure they choke and have attitude issuses, but talent wise they have to be considered. If you made a 5 on 5 team they would be by far the hardest team to matchup against. 4 of their 5 players are around 11 feet tall.

     @WizKid…

what are you talking about? and if you take away MD from that list, who do you have thats actually from DC?

Like a lot of my friends, Durant was born in DC but was raised in Seat Pleasant, MD…so what do you consider him to be?

    Beasley is from Frederick, MD…

Hibbert was born in Queens and raised in Adelphi, MD…

Ty Lawson is from Clinton, MD…

    Melo is from Baltimore, MD…

Rudy Gay is from Balitmore, MD and went to school at Spalding in MD…

Like Durant, Delonte West was born in DC but went to school in Greenbelt, MD…

Jarret Jack is from Fort Washington, MD…

So really you cant seperate the 2 unless you want to lose pretty much every player i just mentioned…there is a reason Durant has MARYLAND across his back…MD and DC are one in the same, and if you actually lived in DC for a long time you would know thats the truth…DMV = DC, MD, VA…stop trying to act like DC is some huge area where all these ballers come from…

When did I say anything about what player is from where? If YOU lived DC you would know that Baltimore and DC are not fond of each other. People from DC say I’m from DC, people from Bmore say I’m from Bmore. The only people who say I’m from the DMV are the Virginia, Montgomery, and PG people because they hold no relevance without DC. The only true DC Ballers are Thomas Robinson, Victor Page, Elgin Baylor, Dave Bing and a couple more but people who were born and grew up in DC. Not Durant who is clearly from MD. Even Melo says he is from NY not Bmore.

Thats weird because Wale says DMV all the time and he’s from DC…not to mention everybody i know but yea…

"They hold no relevance without DC" – yea accept every player i just mentioned is from PG or MOCO…

"Even Melo says hes from NY not BMORE" – well thats because he was born in NY but raised in Bmore, im pretty sure the WB (west baltimore) tattoo says it all…

I never said people from Bmore say they are from DC and vice versa, but it makes sense to group the areas together seeing as it only takes 30 minutes or less to drive back and forth…

Uh no Wale says he is from PG listen to 100 Miles and Running he lived in DC for a little but he was born and rasied in PG.

DC is the most powerful city in the nation without the D the MV is plain and holds zero relevance on the grand scale.

Okay Tupac was rasied in Baltimore so does that make him from the DMV? Didn’t think so Melo clearly holds allegance to NY in all the interviews he had when he got traded to NY he talks about how it feels good to come back home..

Flawed logic states shared borders so why aren’t they given a acronym name? You know why because they hold relevance in everyday conversation. Face it if you are from Maryland and not from Baltimore your area is basically unknown.

do your research bro…Wale was born in DC and lived there for 10 years before moving to MOCO haha…(btw ive never purchased anything by Wale)

but anyways, good job, you cant name ONE person in the NBA born and raised in DC, so you might want to adopt the DMV slogan and gain some respect for your city lmao…

And if you really think Maryland has nothing, do some research on this thing called The Naval Academy maybe…? its sort of important.

Just had a thing in the paper today. Since 2006 theres been at least one player drafted in the first round from an Indy-area High School.

    2011 JaJuan Johnson 27th

    2010 Godon Hayward 9th

    2009 Jeff Teague 19th

2008 Eric Gordon 7, Courtney Lee 22, George Hill 26

    2007 Greg Oden 1, Mike Conley 4

    2006 Rodney Carney 16

Marquis Teague may add to the streak this year.
