Da1potParticipantWhere do you think these guys will sign?
*The list is from hoopshype, U= unrestricted R= Restricted
My predictions
1. Deron Williams, U- Dallas, if he cares about winning now that is
2.Roy Hibbert, R- Indiana, Might be more valuable than Danny Granger
3. Eric Gordon, R- New Orleans, Hornets will give him a max deal
4. Steve Nash, U- LA Lakers, I hope he goes somewhere where he can get a ring finally
5. Kevin Garnett U- Retirement, I would like to see him sign in San Antonio though
6. Nicolas Batum R- San Antonio
7.Tim Duncan U- San Antonio, Hometown discount so he can win one more ring?
8. Andrei Kirilenko U- Brooklyn
9. Lou Williams U- Philadelphia
10. Oj Mayo R- Los Angeles Lakers
11. Gerald Wallace U- no idea
12. Javale McGee U- Denver might be most overpaid guy on the list because you have to figure h gets at least what Deandre Jordan got
13. Ersan Ilyasova U- No idea, but maybe Bucks
14. Ray Allen U- Boston, but I think he leaves if Garnett doesn’t re-sign, I don’t think Miami can afford him
15. Jeremy Lin R- New York Knicks
16. Brook Lopez R- Brooklyn, Though I wouldn’t be surprised if he got some huge offers
17. Jason Terry U- Days might be over in Dallas if D-Will signs there, The Lakers desperately need bench scoring and guards who can defend
18. Ryan Anderson R- Orlando, Don’t give him Rashard Lewis-like money though!!!!
19. Goran Dragic U- Houston, I think they like him more than Lowry now
20. Kris Humphries U – no idea, Starter on a crappy team, branon bass type off the bench or a starter period????

sheltwon3ParticipantWhere is Lakers getting all this money to sign 2 of the top 20 free agents.
1. Deron Williams, U- Dallas I agree because it is home and they are better than Brooklyn unless Howard goes there than he stays.
2.Roy Hibbert, R- Indiana, Might be more valuable than Danny Granger
3. Eric Gordon, R- New Orleans, Hornets will give him a max deal
4. Steve Nash, U- OKC or Toronto OKC if he wants a ring and Toronto if he wants to go home and help a young team make the playoffs.
5. Kevin Garnett U- Boston
6. Nicolas Batum R- Portland is going to keep him after trading Wallace and letting Crawford leave.
7.Tim Duncan U- San Antonio lifetime Spur
8. Andrei Kirilenko U- Brooklyn This makes sense because they need a sf and a pf now.
9. Lou Williams U- Houston
10. Oj Mayo R- Portland
11. Gerald Wallace U- New Orleans or Houston( I am leaning towards Houston)
12. Javale McGee U- Denver might be most overpaid guy on the list because you have to figure h gets at least what Deandre Jordan got
13. Ersan Ilyasova U- Boston
14. Ray Allen U- LAC or OKC(leaning on OKC because LAC does not have money unless Mo Williams opt out which he could)
15. Jeremy Lin R- New York Knicks
16. Brook Lopez R- Brooklyn until he gets traded for Howard if they still happens
17. Jason Terry U- I have no idea because as a 6th man he is a good fit for all team but the thing is who can play him and also give him opportunity to win a championship. If OKC does not get Allen than he could go there.
18. Ryan Anderson R- Orlando if he can get a gurantee he will not be traded. Also this draft is key because they could be drafted his position.
19. Goran Dragic U- Houston Lowry is on his way out and I hope Lakers can get him.
20. Kris Humphries U – I am looking at Minny and Phoenix but it is hard because he is a good rebounder but he is not really a set starter yet he can start on some teams.

NYK2010ParticipantGood idea with the list and guessing where they would end up.
Unfortunately some of these signings make no sense.
Nash to the Lakers makes sense but it won’t help their defense which is weak at PG. Mayo I think his play has dropped and he’ll sig a fair deal in Memphis uness the owner has them on a budget.
Kirk Hinrich should leave Atlanta he would help some of the better teams like the Lakers or Bulls.
I don’t see Batum leaving since Portland has like 30 million in expirings.
I’d be interested in what teams like the Knicks, Heat, Bulls, Clippers do with their mid level exception.

ilmagoParticipantIf anyone gives Gordon a max deal, he should be fired the day after that happens. Max deal means he should be as effective as guys like Durant, Westbrook, Rose or at least Kevin Love. Gordon is often injured and even when healthy is not even close to those guys. Ok, he is a good player, but he is not a building block and he is not reliable when it comes to injuries. He is a shooting guard and we all know there are not that many and he plays for a terrible team with cap space, which also means they may try to retain him offering more money, but come on. Max deal??? If you give him 80+ plus Mil that is a really dumb move to me.

220ParticipantI think Deron Williams will return to Brooklyn…I could be wrong though. I think Roy Hibbert will be signed by Dallas…I think Dallas will overpay him and Indiana won’t match particularly if Deron Williams stays in Brooklyn.

11. Gerald Wallace U- Lakers, Why would he want to sign anywhere else?
12. Javale McGee U- Lakers, We could use his shot blocking

14. Ray Allen U-Lakers, I bet he would want to play with Kobe

omphalosParticipantNo love for Michael Beasley? Jeff Green? Two pretty major free agents who didn’t make this list. I understand Beasley because of his shenanigans, but a healthy Green is better than most of the players on that list.

SonicSabotuerEidolonMcgee to the heat hes a young player who has no real market value other then shot blocking due to his poor choices on the court and issues in the locker room with other teammates the last thing any team would want is a cancer.MIA isnt any team its a strong brotherhood who just came off a championship they can deal with his character and help him improve his vaule becoming a better smarter player and person.
Beasley to the bobcats is the best for him he has never really giving the chances most young top players get playing on the heat and then being second option to love in a triangle offense. B-easy and Barnes would be able to play the 4 through 2 based on what the team needs.Thats great versatility for a young rebuilding team.Giving them the offense they need with the defensive center to back them up.Lets say the heavens do hear their call and give them a shabazz
Pf beasley~ starting or off the benech when he should he can still put up close to a double double off the becnch
sf barnes~ who knows where his ceiling really is he has all the tools
sg-The GIANT SG shabazz the killer will get his no matter what
great building blocks for the future even if they dont land a shabazz you still do good with B easy

Da1potParticipantDude I’m a diehard WIZARDS fan. I don’t like the Lakers at all. I made this list in the most unbiased manner possible. Since when have the Lakers ever cared about the luxury tax anyways? They can amnesty Metta if they want to. Maybe I did go a bit overboard saying Jason Terry might go to the Lakers,my bad on that. I do think they will make a play on Steve Nash though. Also in hindsight, I don’t know if predicting Batum to the Spurs was a good idea because they will try and lock up Danny Green I think for a mid-levelesque deal.
http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2012/06/report-hornets-to-match-any-offer-for-eric-gordon/
This report says the Hornets will match ANY offer for Eric Gordon- even if it is a max deal. The Times Picayune is a very credible source.

IndianaBasketballParticipant@ilmago and PabloFiasco
http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2012/06/report-hornets-to-match-any-offer-for-eric-gordon/
Report: Hornets To Match Any Offer For Eric Gordon
All reports indicate that the Hornets want to build its core around Anthony Davis, the 10th pick in the Draft and Eric Gordon. The Times Picayune reports that the team will likely match any offer sheet for its restricted free agent, including a max deal (New Orleans certainly has bread enough to do so): “All indications point toward the Hornets making a concerted effort to re-sign their restricted free agent, shooting guard Eric Gordon. New Orleans appears ready to match any offer Gordon might get on the open market, even if means extending him a maximum-money contract of five years worth $80 million, league sources said.”

sheltwon3ParticipantI was just going by what ole dude had. There are so many free agent and guys that will be waived of amnestied that it is hard for me to keep track right now.
