qDizzle32ParticipantWho is that player who is not guaranteed to hear his name called on Thursday night that you just want to see get drafted due to how much you like that player’s game or their background. For example, last year mine was Peyton Siva. The reason why was because of his leadership that helped lead Louisville to the National Title, the fact that he is such a hard worker but not naturally talented enough to be an elite NBA player and the story when he found his father in an ally holding a gun to his head then talked his father out of commiting suicide. Who is that player in this year’s draft who you just want to be heard by the assistant commish in the 2nd round?

Kevin6CDParticipanta lot of Pistons fans it would be University of Oakland SG Travis Bader, but mine would either be Casey Prather or Niels Giffey. I think the 2nd round is about finding guys with one big strength and minimizing their faults so they can become role players. Giffey can obviously shoot and Prather has the tools to be a great defender.

qDizzle32ParticipantThis year mine would be James Michael McAdoo. I would say Johnny O’Bryant instead but I’m pretty sure O’Bryant will get drafted somewhere unlike McAdoo. The reason why is because I have been following James McAdoo since he was 16 years old when he played on that U16 Team USA squad with other players such as Bradley Beal and Andre Drummond. Remember watching him make the All-Tournament team for U17 World Championships but his game never adjusted playing against older players. I’ll admit that he was very overrated coming out of high school and probably shouldn’t have even been ranked in the Top 20 of the 2011 class even though he was the Co-MVP of the MDAA game but that clearly was not his fault. Obviously was going to get a lot of criticism after never reaching his expectations he has as a high school player but still worked hard to improve as there just wasn’t much he could do. Seems like a great person from every interview I’ve watched. If he does get drafted, it seems likely that his career will not last longer than three years at the most and will quickly end up in Europe unless his athleticism could somehow bail him out which seems pretty unlikely. Because I’ve been following James McAdoo since 2009 and after hoping he would break out the next year at UNC which never happened, I just hope to see James McAdoo to be drafted somewhere in the 2nd round.

HaleParticipantJoe Jackson. Surely would’ve been taken last season but his disappointing senior year hurt him. He’s tough and a crazy good athlete so there is hope. He really needs to remember how to shoot though.

Nick YoungParticipantMy pick is Little Patric Young from Florida. If the guy is strong enough to pull a car uphill, he will probably have some use on a team. Worst case scenario, he can be used as an anforcer during fights. But I don’t see him or his teammate Scottie Wilbekin getting drafted.
I also like Travis Bader from Oakland, maybe he could provide some 3-point shooting off the bench on a contender.
Great idea by the way.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantSpencer Dinwiddie. Such a driven guy, I was ready for a great sophomore campaign, then it got derailed with the injury. He just seems so competitive, but really genuine as well. I feel like even if he doesnt get drafted he will beat his way into a roster spot through the summer league.

Kevin6CDParticipanthe commits some type of heinous crime or has his head lopped off before Thursday, Dinwiddie is definitely getting drafted. Maybe even in the first round.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI never said he wouldnt be, I was merely pointing out the fact that given his work ethic if he were not to be drafted, he would still make a roster spot.

Kevin6CDParticipantto sound like a jerk, but read the first line of the OP. This thread is about guys who probably won’t get picked.

AdamJCallejaParticipantI would love to see Tarik Black get drafted, he works so hard on the court and it would be cool if a team gave him a chance. I also wouldn’t mind seeing a team take a chance on Scottie Wilbekin or Aaron Craft.

qDizzle32ParticipantI’m a Kentucky fan too but Jon Hood is not gonna get drafted sorry. Aquille Carr even has higher odds of getting drafted which is basically the same thing as saying there’s a better chance of Santa Claus existing than the Easter Bunny but hopefully Hood can find a team in the lower divisions of Europe and make a decent amount of money.

RUDEBOY_Participant1.Marshall Henderson of Ole Miss….He was immature both on & off the court…Played an unothodox style.. But i loved his confidence and his me against the world attitude..He was fun to watch…
2.Ian Miller-Not being able to stay healthy hurt his stock..But he still might make a roster becuz of his shooting…

MattP31ParticipantJahii Carson, Marshall Henderson, Chaz Williams, Lamar Patterson, Sim Bhullar, Melvin Ejim, Jerrelle Bennimon, Sean Kilpatrick, Javon McCrae, and Talib Zanna.
Love to see all of them get drafted. I think if this was a normal draft we would see most of those guys getting drafted, but the ridiculous depth of this draft makes it highly unlikely most of them get taken.

dborlackParticipantim hoping possibly either jordan bachynski or josh huestis. bachynski is a terrific shot blocker at 7’2" and has a nice hook shot and post game. huestis can shoot the nba 3 and has good defensive skills to match up at the 3.

Lotto StudParticipantAndre Dawkins because things were looking to shape up for him as a draftable prospect until he took a leave of absence due to family matters. Aside from Andre being a local talent, I just want him to succeed because I’ve met his father on a few occasions and he’s a model citizen, so I’m sure outside of basketball Andre will be active with community events through any franchise he may land on.

BENNYParticipantTwo players I would love to have been drafted are "crimestopper" Aquille Carr this kid have over a 40 inch vertical lighting quick, I believe would be box office in the NBA and DeAndre Kane who had an outstanding NCAA tournament this year. I would also like to follow these two guys basketball careers as professionals if not in the NBA but in the D-League or overseas.
