Temple point guard Juan Fernandez signed a 3 year contract with the Italian Euroleague club Olimipa Milan. The contract is for 3 years and €750K euros net, or $1.75 million gross (how the NBA lists salary), using the current exchange rates and the current Italian tax rate.
It is less money than Nick Calathes got when he signed with Panathinaikos out of college, but still 3 years $1.75 million is a pretty good contract for him.
He will not play with Milan next season, as the club does not believe that he is ready to play at the Euroleague level. So he will be loaned to another Italian League club.
