If you just watch a complete game of his you will agree he is the best SG in college basketball.Even though this is a down year for SG(Evan Turner is a 1,2,and 3). Why is nbadraft not showing this kid any love??? This guy was a mcdonalds aa and I fill he could be a 1st round draft pick this year. What 2guard is better?

Dominique Jones, James Anderson, Jacob Pullen, Randy Culpepper, and E’Twan Moore are 5 SG’s better off the top of my head.

The reason is probably that his game isn’t really suited for the NBA as of right now. Landesberg got a lot of love on this site over the summer, but the truth remains that he’s an underwhelming athlete with no stand out skill (jack of all trades, master of none). The fact that Virginia isn’t a tournament team is also hurting his resume. He’s only a sophomore, so he has plenty of time to continue to improve his game. I think his best bet for securing a spot on an NBA team is to develop a consistent outside shot, which he has shown improvement in this year at 38% from three, up from 31% as a freshman.

Evan Turner, Xavier Henry, James Anderson, John Scheyer, Dominique Jones, Avery Bradley, Elliot Williams, Willie Warren, Jerome Dyson there are a lot more 2-guards out there than you think. Almost forgot Alec Burk and Travis Leslie.

John Scheyer is a better college player…oh gall how it pains me to say that, but its true. I dont know if he would be classified as a PG or a SG, but if he is the PG then Nolan Smith is a better collage player too. So take your pick there.

Buford from Ohio State has been playing some good ball and I would say he’s better than Landysburg too.

Terrico White is a better player that LAndysburg…he’s handicapped by the Black hole that is Chris Warren.

Anyways…I’m done being an argumentative prick.

Landysburg doesnt get much love because he’s probably not coming out this year and Virginia doesnt really get any national attention. The only time I’ve ever seen them on TV was when they played MN in the Big 10 ACC challenge in his Freshmen year.

Have you guys watched Landesberg more than once this season or at all?  He has been a beast.  

Landesberg is a better prospect than DJones, Culpepper, Scheyer, Terrico White, Pullen, Cullpepper, Moore, Dyson, Leslie, Burk.  Remeber I said better prospect.  Some of these guys you all mentioned won’t even get drafted.  A lot of them won’t make it in the NBA playing SG.

Did you see Landesberg @ Miami?  I’m guessing all of you missed this game so I’ll just give you one example.  Landesberg was scoring at will from a variety of offensive moves.  His jumpshot has improved. Plus he can pretty much shoot over anybody.  Considering teams key on him defensively…. & they still can’t stop him.  

Virginia isn’t a tournament team because Landesberg doesn’t have much help at all.

I agree with mostly everything you said, that was a real good game by him but he is NOT a better prospect than Burke out of Colorado.

SYLVEN LANDESBERG is not the best sg, but top 5 yes… he is a soph and can get to the hoop at will… plays on a bad team with little help.

He’s a better prospect than most of those guys are, but he said who’s a better SG than him. So I answered his question.

hes good and i like his game but he hasnt gotten better. this year looks the same as last year for him. and if youre the best sg in the nation you MAKE youre team better
