http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/214194/Report_Suns_To_Buy_Out_Carter Kind of a surprise. I would have expected the Suns to try and trade him first. What teams do you guys think will try and pick him up? Comments?

Oooooh. Carter, Stoudemire and Stoudemire would be nice for a season.

for all the negative rap carter gets, the guy can still play and is without question a solid pickup for some contender. Would love to see the lakers get him as a backup sg/sf behind kobe and artest especially if shanon brown leaves as a free agent.

"Carter, Stoudemire and Stoudemire would be nice for a season."

Are you guys planning to start both Stoudmires at C and PF?

Probably not. The Knicks will look to sign a couple post players. Don’t sleep on the fact the Knicks made a HUGE effort this season to get a NBDL team, they made Allen Houston GM of their D-league team. I think the Knicks will not only attack the post in free agency, but also target alot of draftees who aren’t drafted.

Anyway, I think Carter could help the Knicks next season because they will be running a modified offense now that Melo is there.

Carter may be getting up ther ein age but he can still play, theres another thread stating is he the next answer NO!, VC will find a new home, bulls might be a good spot, or he can be signed by a contender., he doesnt have a bad attitude like A.I did(even though i hope he plays in the nba next year too, still a great player to watch) and can adjust his game how his next team wants him to.

I see him taking the veterans minimum to take talents to south beach. He is already used to being booed, and that at home games. He is still a valuable pickup for anyteam if he is willing to take on a reduced role. 10-13 points a game seems realistic. But chicago is also a possible destination.

You don’t get it do you?

You said Stoudemire twice rather than Stoudmire and Anthony….. So I sarcastically asked if you were going to play BOTH Stoudemires at center and power forward..

    lmao

There was no need for the other comment but if you want me to rephrase it, I will:

Boy, don’t you feel stupid about now.

Chicago would be the best option, but New York a close second, they could use a veteran SG to allow Landry to come off the bench where he’d be more productive.

spelling "anthony" as "stoudemire" is not a grammar issue.

My dude, I’m kicking it watching TV talking basketball. I’m not mad all all. I don’t care about the remark to be 100.  I jumped on it when I saw it, then I said my bad because it wasn’t that deep.

But seriously, he tries to take jabs or only comment on my mistakes and think I’m gonna get all mad like I used to. My life good, I’m talking basketball. It’s not that serious for me anymore.

You know why I’m laid back, because it wasn’t that serious. The old me would have called him a hater, ripped his basketball knowledge and such. Nah man, that’s petty. I took the higher road and said my bad and moved on, only to see him ask if I felt stupid. I said nope and kept it moving. Lol, that’s pretty much all I can do.

Anyway, I think a sleeper team for Vince Carter is Atlanta. They need another wing since I don’t think Crawford will be back. I think adding Carter and another cheap big to throw into that rotation would help them good.

Soooo….who is a contending team that needs a starting SG that can score a little bit?

The Chicago Bulls better be all over this

There are several teams Carter could sign with..

Bucks might be interested in Carter, they really need scoring..

Would the Raptors bring him back?

Clippers,Wizards & Houston need a small forward..Or he might return to Suns at a lower price…

But i think Kahn will sign him…

Do you really think Chicago will be that eager to sign him? The biggest reason for Chicago’s jump-bigger than D-Rose’s improved play, in my opinion, was their 100% commitment to playing top notch team defense for all 48 minutes. They already have Boozer, who isn’t what anyone would call a defensive whiz but can at least rebound effectively most of the time, and Rose-for all his athleticism-isn’t really a stopper either (yet).

Throwing Carter into the mix would give them below average defenders at three of the five starting spots, and I’m not sure if Vince’s offense would be enough to offset what his lack of D would do to that team.

That being said though, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did because of the relative black hole they had at SG on offense last year and there really aren’t many great two-way shooting guards who would play for the MLE.

I think you’re confused about what a black hole is; when the ball goes in and doesn’t go out; i.e. a selfish player who will force up bad shots rather than pass it. The Bulls didn’t have that problem at the SG, they just had no production late in games is all.

You’re right, bad choice of wording on my part. What I meant to say was they were almost completely devoid of scoring there.

Bulls have more of a helping defense anyways…so as long as VC does his job, he should be alright.

If anything, if it doesnt work out…trade him

    Noah,VC,Taj an Draft Pick

    FOR

    Dwight an throw in

Just a example…but adding carter to any trade would make the other team more interested
