WordslingerParticipantRead this story and let me know what you guys think?

Does Biyombo have a chance to be this good or is he a bust?
In this weak a draft I think he has enough potential that he’s more than worth using a high pick on. This site has him currently going to the Rockets with the last lottey pick, but is there anyway he will last that long?

ghettosermonParticipantWhat do you expect us to say? How do we know if he’ll be a bust. The game film on him is so limited. We know he’s athletic, long and can block shots. He also has a high motor, so sure he has potential to be a big time impact defender like Ibaka. At the same time guys like Saer Sene and Johan Petro also had similar traits. With a guy like him it’s a complete crap shoot. There are tools for him to be great, and worrisome spots which make you think he could bust. Regardless of what team drafts him and how high, on draft night I honesty won’t be able to give the pick a fair grade. A guy like him has no middle ground. He will either be a big time defender or he will struggle to stay in the league. It really is that simple.

WolvesFutureParticipantIs closer to Petro than Sene, Petro actually had a motor. But Petro also didn’t know how to play D without fouling, something Biyombo also does very poorly. The thing about Petro was that he would look disinterested at times, lacked focus, maybe he didn’t want to play basketball and was forced into it because he was big? Will that be the case for Biyombo? It seems like he loves the game from interviews, but he has a long ways to go in developing offensively and defensively. Just because you can block shots doesn’t mean you play good defense, ie: JaVale McGee/Darko Milicic.

The mock claims from a source that the Cavs are considering Valanciunas or Biyombo at 4, and Kanter to a lesser extent. Smoke Screen?

JunkYardDogParticipantIt depends on where he will play BB next year : playing time, system, coaching trust on him… and chance of course.
