Rock the Bells, an annual traveling hip-hop summer festival, took place this weekend at Governor’s Island in New York City, and due to some random series of events, Steve Nash wound up on stage during Nas’ headlining set. Watch the Suns point guard get his dance on during “Nasty” above

Wasn’t Nash on the stage w/ Nicki Minaj not too long ago too? Dude is everywhere lol.

Nas is my favorite rapper though… Was just listening to Illmatic earlier.

One of the most creative LP’s ever to hit stores.

This is not exactly Ron Artest appearing in "Nas Is Like" (Repping QB), but this is solid. Nas is definitely one of my favorite MC’s of all-time.  As I am always trying to keep it topical, I found this sick Isaiah Thomas (Mr. Irrelevant of the 2011 Draft and complete steal. Not the Detroit Pistons great whose name is spelled Isiah Thomas) to the beat of "It Ain’t Hard to Tell" (off Illmatic, prod. Large Professor) and Allure (off Jay-Z’s the Black Album, prod. Neptunes).

But, I feel you, great songs nonetheless. Illmatic is amazing, I think "It Ain’t Hard To Tell" is probably my favorite flow of his on that album, "Nas is like the afrocentric asian, half man half amazin….." and "I kick the skill like Shaquille holds the pill, vocabulary spills I’m ill….." (Both of which Premo has used as amazing samples).

I hear the reason Nas never worked with Pete Rock again was due to a scuffle he got into with the executive producer of Illmatic, hip-hop legend MC Serch. Pete produced, "The World Is Yours", and he apparently was bothering Serch for his payment. I do not know the full extent, but I take it he was maybe being a tad beligerent. Serch, who is Jewish, was sitting shiva (basically a Jewish form of mourning the dead) for a close friend who had passed away. He was therefore not permitted to do business during this period. I am fairly sure Pete was paid eventually, and I do not know the entire circumstances, but Nas and Pete have never done a track together since. Word is that this beef is squashed and they are planning on working together. Still, was a shame they did not do any work since. The thing I would LOVE to see is the Nas/DJ Premier album that has been talked about for years on end. Will it come out before Detox? Stay tuned……..

My sisters boyfriend was Steve Nash’s waiter over the weekend at this resturant he works at in NYC. He said that Nash came in drunk with two huge black girls. Nash just ordered eggs, but when he left he left his credit card in the resturant and my sisters boyfriend went outside to give it to him before he took off. I said to him that he should have kept it so that Nash would have to call him to get it and then he would have gotten Nash’s number. lol

He is a rich, single NBA player in the offseason. During a lockout. Can you really blame him??

"Writin’ in my book of rhymes, all the words pass the margin."

Also one of my favorite quotes from "The World Is Your’s" because whenever I’ve written anything since I was little, I’d always write pass the margins lol.

Illmatic just my favorite CD ever… I mean, "NY State of Mind", "Halftime" and "It Ain’t Hard to Tell"… I mean, just the whole CD goes hard.
