Nash is probably a Steve Kerr level coach/mentor, but with way more tricks and skills to share. Just check out his influence on Olynyk, and the gleam in Nash’s eye watching his 7 foot protege/pupil.
Nash isn’t officially coaching the national team, but he’s coaching, and scrimmaging with them. Hard to image a more likely coaching legend than Steve Fr. Nash. KO gets Brad Stevens and now Nash. It’s going to be a big year for KO, aka 7 foot Nash.

Of course Steve Nash is going to have a positive effect on Canadian Basketball.. Canada can use all the help it can get building the national program.

Actually Nash is not behind canadas most recent success story. Sure Nash is a great role model that might have inspired kids across the nation. However, two programs particualarly that are responsible for the success are Grassroots Canada and CIA Bounce. Do your research and you will see that each program has developed and sent over 100 kids to D1 and now developed NBA level players as well.Not taking credit from Nash, just stating facts.

him speaking spanish down there for the publicity events at the fiba americas is apparently really going over well. when all other nations involved with the event, other than brazil, have spanish as thier national language, they appreciate the head of canadian basketball making the effort. and yeah, he seems like a great mind, hope he gets into coaching one day.

  Meanwhile the Donald Sterling types in Hollywood limit big roles for black people because they say nobody overseas wants to watch a schvartze.
