just for the record, I used to be an avid SI reader and they have THE WORST mock drafts ever. I’m not sure what they base any of it on… they’re generally WAY off on all predictions. (SI Jinx?)

the only time i can remember them being right was when UCONN won the title

I will laugh so hard if Memphis takes Evans at number 2. I understand not drafting Rubio if he doesn’t want to go play for them, but why would they go with evans when they have Mayo (who is already a combo guard like Evans) and seem to be “happy” with Conley, Jr. as their point guard. They either need a pure point guard, just in case Conley doesn’t work out, or go for a big man such as Thabeet or Hill.

That is terrible. I actually could see Memphis taking Evans at 2 though if they can’t trade the pick. But there is no way possible for Thabeet to fall that far.

I think there’s a slim chance Hasheem falls to the Wolves, who I’d hope would pounce.

After griffin it only takes 4 guys to be picked ahead of thabeet for him to make it to 6. Rubio could certainly be taken #2 by memphis and there’s a good chance harden goes 3 to OKC…. after that any combination of Jennings/Holiday/Hill/Curry could be taken ahead of Thabeet… And that’s not all that unrealistic. I don’t see it either though.

I think the Evans pick is WAY off. I could see him ending up in Memphis, as dumb as I think that’d be, but they definitely should draft rubio and trade him if evans is the guy they want. They’d be INCREDIBLY dumb if they take evans at 2
