ESPN Insider has the updated buzz from the National Basketball Association rumor mill.
StoryNBA front-office sources told ESPN.com that the Hornets and Diogu are close to finalizing a deal, with a formal announcement expected later Wednesday or Thursday.
Terms of the contract were not immediately available, but Diogu is regarded as a low-cost option who has yet to reach his full potential after playing sparingly in the past two seasons.
Diogu, 25, appeared in only 29 games last season for the Portland Trail Blazers and Sacramento Kings but did enjoy a few productive spells with the Kings are arriving in February via trade, averaging 9.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in just 14.2 minutes in 10 games.

JordanC20ParticipantCool…I like these moves the hornets are doing so far, Ike is a good player he just hasn’t had much of a chance.

kong47272ParticipantI think this is a solid move by the Hornets, Ike has never been in a system that knew how to use him. I think he will fit in well with Chris Paul

IndianaBasketballParticipantWe’ll see… While he was w/ the Pacers he got a chance to play, but didn’t make the most out of if. He’s strong and talented offensively, but lacks defensive IQ. He’s always late on rotations, missing his assignments, etc. I hope he does well though.

JoeWolf1I’ve been saying all summer how i think if Diagu gets in the right situation, he could really flourish, hopefully playing with CP3 and the up tempo hornets will help him out

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantHe played pretty well when he was with the kings. I think he scored close to 40 points against Denver.
