eazye_84ParticipantIt’s too early in the season to say but so far he looks good. He has some things he needs to work on. Consistency, developing a reliable 3 pointer, shot selection, and limiting turnovers

r377Participant@koranprince – You just made a thread about him a few days ago. He shot 8/21 today.
We don’t all agree. Some of us aren’t sheep swapping from bandwagon to bandwagon….

LitteringAnd…ParticipantOn this one. he played OK today, plenty of rookies have had blistering starts and then faded. Teams will come up with defensive solutions to limit him if he gives them enough trouble too. I was more impressed with how ET played and scored on an efficient 9-13. And as for a franchise PG look to the other team, Wall is looking really solid.

MopgrassParticipantI had him at #6 in the draft. I thought he might be a franchise guy before the season started. I’d guess it’ll take at least 4 years for him to get efficient. I mean, if that does happens.
Most guys can improve turnover rates and become greater defenders, but shooting percentage seams to be the hardest thing to improve. It’s good to be Kyrie Irving, he was efficient on day 1.

EntropyParticipantIm not on the MCW hype train yet. If we go by what we have seen in the past then he will be an inefficient scorer who turns the ball over a lot.
So far he as been good in the nba but it is too early to judge. I think you have to wait for him to play at least 20-30 games (maybe more) before getting too excited.

Sewok15ParticipantMCW was player of the week and it shocked me big time because I thought he was far from NBA ready. He has a lot to work on but he has certainly impressed me so far.
With that being said we have seen people like Mike James, Greveis Vasquez, Rodney Stuckey and Drew Gooden been named player of the week before.

r377ParticipantI predicted he would go 12-4-6 on 38-39% shooting.
Current stats are 17.4 – 5.4 – 7.6 @ 39%

JoeWolf1I included mpg this year, so even if I was off on a players’ role, I could still compare adjusted production. I only predicted he’d get 24 mpg, but my numbers adjusted to his 36.6 mpg are 13.5 ppg 4.6 rpg 8 apg on 37% shooting.

r377ParticipantSilly boy Joe, we all know the sixers will tank and he will get 35+ mins a night….
Even after their surprise start this should still happen.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantIMO he’s been better than most of the rookies in his draft class and he’s had to play some very tough matchups to start his career too, and the fact is he’s played better than most people will give him credit for…
So far he’s played against the Heat(Chalmers/Wade/James) Cavs x 2 (Kyrie) Warriors (Steph Curry) Wizards x 2 (Wall) and Spurs (Tony Parker)…That’s 4 of the best Pg’s and the defending Champion Heat which he helped beat BTW…
All of the hate or doubt if you will is very immature, as is the Franchise PG talk less than 10 games into a career…
What I will say is that MCW and Evan Turner are far better NBA players than we think, they’re both great defenders and fearless competitors…Give the kid a break and watch him blossom into an All Around player…
P.S…I think MCW is playing at a Rookie of the Year level, far better than the #1 pick Anthony Bennett is, that should count for something too, the only other rookie that may out play MCW for the year is Victor Olapido but I doubt the voters will go with him over a stellar Rookie PG in The New NBA PG Era…
