j_hughes53ParticipantToday on first take Skip expressed his desire for Cleveland to win the lottery and get the #1 pick Anthony Davis. I dont quite think this would actually be sticking it to Lebron because Davis is gonna take some time to grow. Kyrie and AD would be a deadly combo in the future tho, with tristan thompson perhaps playing a role. What do you guys feel and about Davis going to the Cavs and there future?

So raspyParticipantHow would getting the #1 pick be "sticking it to LeBron"?

Tight ButtholeParticipantSkip Bayless is paid to be an idiot and say the most off the wall things to get whomever is sitting across the table from him and get them all worked up to get their ratings up.
But more importantly, Davis to the Cavs makes me pre big time. Im of course a Cavs fan though. Davis and Irving would be HUGE to the city and obviously the franchise. Cleveland fans still support their team like crazy and this would be enough to start believing that theyll be title contenders again. Hoping Cleveland lands that #1 pick tonight, CANT WAIT!

joecheck88ParticipantI’m hope Cleveland would stick it to the media by drafting Drummund 1. Haha. They already have Tristan Thompson who is basically the same player as Davis, IMO. Davis better offensively but not much.

So raspyParticipantTristan Thompson wouldn’t stop Cleveland from drafting Davis

rwd5035ParticipantSkip considered Lebron’s 40-18-9 as nothing more than filling up a stat sheet while Wade was the one who took them to another level. Nevermind the fact that he said Michael Jordan at 49 could beat Lebron 1 v 1. Or that he didn’t even have Lebron as one of his top five players in the NBA at the start of the season.
Skip wanting to give it to Lebron is just consistent. If Miami can win the title, I’m sure it will be Wade’s doing, nevermind the fact that Lebron has put up insane numbers all playoffs on a team without Chris Bosh for the last five games of it.

joecheck88ParticipantI’m not saying it would stop them from drafting Davis. The two points I am making is that I don’t think Davis will be much better than Thompson and that Drummund is a better prospect than Davis.

NYK2010ParticipantSorry but when did Kyrie Irving turn into Derrick Rose or Tony Parker.
As for Anthony Davis I love how some fools consider him better than every big man in the league right now even. Potential is one thing but I’m hearing Dwight Howard isn’t even worth Anthony Davis so now the a top 2 Center isn’t as good as Davis. Can’t wait to see if the kid is worth all the hype or scouts are just out of their minds good thing they have summer leagues this year.
Meanwhile the rest of the team is a joke for Cleveland at SG, SF. Lets not get started on the coach because he’s had a couple good yrs coaching but has been bad most of his career. Cap room will help them but I don’t see a dynasty or anything close to that with Irving and Davis.
Stick it to Lebron unless they do better than the Heat in the playoffs while he’s in Miami or on any other team its not sticking it to him. With Miami this trio is guaranteed to be in the ECF every year esp. with the East being weak.

jmarg25ParticipantMan Skip doesn’t know anything about basketball. Watch how Stephen A. Smith gets so pissed at his idiocy.

scott3210ParticipantI fucking hate Skip Bayless so much. Him and Jay Mariotti are just complete losers who do nothing but take shots at great athletes so they can make themselves relevant. I find it ironic that Skip Bayless continues to criticize Lebron (for illegitimate reasons), even though he owes his whole popularity to Lebron. He’s a troll, nothing more.
Rant over.

WizardofOzParticipantI like Skip more than most others, but his hate for LeBron is really starting to get out of hand. He claims to be objective, but he’s far from it. This guy even went to the point where he started criticizing LeBron for wearing his roman numeral "16" mouthguard, calling it "one of the most immature things he’s ever done."
